I recently had a remarkable encounter with a relentless yellow jacket nest that led me to test the boundaries of my bee suit. Armed with determination and my trusty 2x4, I embarked on a mission to remove a massive hive from my property. Amidst the chaos, the bee suit I donned proved to be a game-changer, offering unparalleled protection and ensuring my safety throughout the endeavor. I was removing a massive hive for 30 minutes without a single bite. Durability and Protection: 5/5 From the moment I zipped up the bee suit, I was impressed by its robust construction. The suit held up exceptionally well as I maneuvered around the hive, even with a 2x4 in hand I used to scrape the hive off the bottom of my deck. Notably, not a single bee managed to penetrate the suit's defenses, despite my proximity to their hive and the forceful expulsion of parts of the nest. Hood Design and Accessories: 4.5/5 Wearing a baseball cap under the hood, as suggested by fellow bee warriors, provided an extra layer of protection for my head and face. The hood effectively shielded me from potential stings, although an adjustable tightening mechanism would be a useful addition for a more customized fit. Comfort and Layering: 4/5 Layering proved to be a strategic choice. The thick Carhartt jacket, combined with work jeans, enhanced insulation without compromising mobility. The extra layers, along with duct tape sealing on gloves and ankles, contributed significantly to the suit's effectiveness in keeping the hornets at bay. However, an additional inner lining for added comfort during prolonged use would be appreciated. We really needed this item in order to do maintenance around a fence post. Not repairing the fence was not an option. We also felt that killing the bees was an irresponsible thing to do and not an option. This bee suit fully protects from a whole swarm of very aggressive bees. The gloves were surprisingly effective while still functional. The fabric is rugged enough to do actual work in which we did but will also be used for future mowing in that particular area. The price was terrific compared to the other ones.

The quality is excellent—thick, durable fabric with strong stitching that keeps bees out while still allowing airflow so you don’t overheat. The veil has great visibility and zips securely, and the elastic around the wrists and ankles gives you full coverage without gaps. It’s surprisingly comfortable to wear, even for longer beekeeping sessions. I feel completely safe working around my hives with this suit on. If you’re serious about beekeeping and want reliable protection, this bee suit is absolutely worth it. Bye bye hornets!

Haven’t had a chance to use them near the hive yet, but out of the box they feel tough enough to prevent stings. The gloves seem to be really good quality as well as the hood. A little worried about the zipper though, looks and feels to be a little “cheap.” Sizing looks to be accurate, maybe possibly running a tad bit large.

This protective suit was awesome. I am very much a novice I have never mess with bees, wasps let alone a hornets nest and this was a big one about the size of a watermelon and it was hanging on the second story of my house. And I read everything I could find on bald face hornets, and the more I read the more nervous I got. But I bought this suit and it’s awesome, one major point note always buy a little bit bigger. I am 185 and 5 10 1/2 and when you put clothes on underneath it does get tight so buy one size up. Other than that, this thing was great. It held up well it helped keep my anxiety and my nervousness about going after the nest at bay I loved it and I would recommend it to anyone..
