The media could not be loaded. This is a very well put together mixing console. The top is metal while the back and sides are constructed out of a nice looking black plastic that seems quite durable. I actually really appreciate the weight reduction here because it makes it very easy to pick up and take with you. The color coding used on the knobs is nice. It really helped me find everything a look quicker as I was learning my way around the board. I also really appreciate the excellent design of the power cable. It screws securely into place so you don't have to worry about it coming unplugged accidentally. The most important part of any mixer is the sound output. In that department I was honestly kind of impressed. The signal comes through load and clear with no noticeable distortion of any kind on my unit. I didn't even pick up on any loss of audio quality through the Bluetooth interface and that really impressed me. This console offers an excellent value for the price. I highly recommend this to anyone amateur or professional who is looking for something light and compact to take out on the road. Here is a review on the Phenyx Pro PTX-15 mixer. I have used this mixer for the last week in many applications such as a Mobile DJ, Karaoke night, Emcee for a Corporate event, and for recording in my home studio. Here are my pros, cons, and suggestions for future consideration. #phenyxprogears Pros: 1. The 48V on each individual channel is great. I like that I only feed power where needed. A nice touch. 2. There is plenty of gain on each channel for a condenser mic. All of my mics sound good and no noticeable hiss when adjusting the gain a bit higher 3. The onboard 'post' 5 band eq eliminates the need for an outboard unit in most applications. This eq is very responsive and gets the job done well. 4. The sliders are smooth and feel very solid. The are responsive to adjustments and feel like they can take daily use. 5. The USB recording and playback functions work very well and the ability to control the previous and next functions on my laptop playlist is great. Cons: 1. The effects are not very good. They are useable but they are not gonna add much to your mix. If used sparingly, they get the job done. 2. There is a low mid hum when the unit is running idle. It is not really noticeable in a live setting, but it is present in the studio/podcast setting. It comes through a bit on the recording as well. I think it is in the effects, but I can't get rid of it. Even with every knob and slider completely off. Suggestions for future consideration: 1. I think the RCA outs are unnecessary as you can record out via the USB. I think this would be better served as a channel 5/6 input. Maybe with 1/4" jacks. This would serve the DJ and Karaoke host by giving a way to connect a dj console and leaving XLR space for mics. Perhaps combine the Left/Right Main ouput sliders into one and using the remaining slider for a channel 5/6 volume. 2. A channel gain clipping LED would be useful. 3. Indention stops on the channel EQ, Aux, Effects, and Pan knobs at the 12 o'clock position. They are very useful in a live setting to quickly indicate what the settings are in a dim lit environment. This is a decent mixer for the price. I would suggest it for anyone needing a budget friendly mixer. The added EQ, user friendly USB functions, and the sound quality might just be a perfect solution with powered speakers. ... show more

The truth is that I bought it to see if it would record what I sang directly to the USB ... and I was surprised to see that it did and of very good quality ... In addition, the volume is great ... It really does sound is very Nice I am a karaoke dj and it improves the sound incredibly I will continue using it replacing one that had bheringer ... thanks Amazon as always you are the best ... show more

I use this for mixing a podcast with multiple condenser mics, so I need the phantom power. There was a hum/buzz that developed soon after my purchase. I performed the software update, to no avail. I emailed support and they investigated. It was determined to be a bad piece of hardware somewhere in the system. They sent me a brand new board free of charge- they paid the shipping. My new board works flawlessly with no detectable background buzz or hum. Great product for the price and awesome support. Well worth the price. ... show more

    • Powerful, but problems

I do a lot of DJing for small to mid size events with lots of kids. I am NOT particularly hard on any of my equipment, so I was a little disappointed in what happened with this. First the good, the best thing about this board is the volume. It can pump out a surprising amount of sound for its size. I have a EV 50 line array speaker (amazing if you have not used or heard one) and with this board I can control three soccer fields. It's stunningly loud and the sound quality is very good. The bad news, after 11 events, one of the inputs on this mixer simply stopped working. I was setting up for the event, and couldn't understand why I was only getting popping sounds from one of my music inputs. I only use two inputs for music and one for my wireless mic, so the fourth is not absolutely necessary, but I'm terrified one of the other inputs will crap out on me before or during an event. So after three months this has become a secondary back up emergency board and I'm ordering a new board from a different company to see if I have any better luck. ... show more

I just bought this in November of 2022 and it has already failed. AUX send popped and then was buzzing and won’t work. I messaged and they only have a 1 year warranty so they said all they could do to help was offer a 15% coupon. Um…. No thanks. I don’t want to buy another one that I’ll have to throw away. ... show more
