Neutra Sul is formulated to neutralize the rotten egg smell pollutants from any water supply through oxidation. Neutra Sul has a proven consistency over hydrogen peroxide 7%, can be used in place of hydrogen peroxide 7% solution to prevent the formation of colors, tastes, corrosion scaling by pollution degradation. In fact, the stabilizer in Neutra Sul provides 5 times the shelf life of standard 7% peroxide, making it an even easier choice! Pro Neutra Sul is NSF Certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for drinking water additives.

Have well water with high iron & sulfur bacteria. I don’t like the idea of using bleach in my water softener. This is hydrogen peroxide based which I just feel better about coming through my plumbing fixtures. It’s not a 100% fix but my water is crap so I can’t expect miracles. The Neutra Sul HP01B Professional Grade Oxidizer works well to remove the iron in the water but you need a lot if you have heavy amounts of iron and then it gets expensive, I should have never switched over from a salt system

Moved into a new home with a well for water supply which was a first for me. I had a company come out and test the water and install a whole home water filtration and softener system. Been very pleased with the performance, but we had a sulfur odor consistently every morning. The company indicated that we could either do a bleach treatment (>$100) every 6 months or install an injector systems (>$1000). Given the smell wasn't too terrible, I thought the latter was overkill and the former a hassle. In researching options, I came across hydrogen peroxide injectors and ultimately to this product. Someone had suggested they used this by pouring it into the brine tank and forcing a regen. That seemed reasonable and not a big hassle, but I worried it would not be very effective. Then someone else said they poured this into their filter housing which I thought was the better solution as the filter itself would absorb some of this product and provide a more constant neutralization. This is indeed what I did - poured an entire gallon into the 20" housing and mounted it back in place. Turned on the water and ran it for a while as I did see a slight bubbling effect at first - which was expected. After 10 minutes, everything settled down and we've had water without a sulfur smell since! I knew this product was working as when I went to put the housing back it really stank! That was the solution oxidizing the sulfur which is exactly what I wanted it to do! Very happy with this as my longer term solution although I don't know how long the effect of that single gallon will last - TBD on that. ... show more

    • Good product, bad packaging and shipping.

First, let me say that this product is very good. I have been using it for a few years and it does the job as intended. My complaints are with the inadequate packaging and compromised shipping. The last time I ordered this, the box was left on my front porch soaking wet. When i opened it, one of the bottles was leaking and was missing about a quart of liquid. I thought that it was not enough to complain about. However, UPS should not have delivered this obviously damaged and soaking wet box. I just received my latest order and this time it was obvious that the box had been re-taped along the way. There was a broken seal of tape on the top of a crinkled and damaged box and some haphazardly applied extra tape holding it all together. When I opened the box one full gallon was missing. There was only 3 gallons in the box. This is no longer a one time event. Every shipment now is somehow damaged and missing product. The seller needs to package their product in a sturdier and better sealed box and/or talk to UPS about handling their packages better and NOT delivering a box that is wet and/or missing bottles. I have notified the seller. I will update this review if I get a response. ... show more
