  • Very convenient and easy to use
The portable water filter was perfect for my hiking trip. Small and lightweight enough to easily carry around. While on my hike I was able to get the water directly out of the river to drink or store in the water bag. I can even filter water out of a bottle due to the extension tube that can connect to a water bottle. The tube is a water filter that removes contaminates that can affect the water such as rocks, leaves, chlorine and mercury just to name a few. The removal rate is up to 99.99999. What a life saver it turned out to be on my hike. ... show more

  • 4 trips & it works fine
I've taken it on 4 trips & it works fine. Filling it is a little tricky. The flow is usually a fast drip, not a steady stream. I fill it, hang it, and leave it to do other tasks. I found it's important to clear the water line of bubbles to get a good flow. Also, you will need to clean it well and dry it after each trip. ... show more

  • I’m still alive
Used it in the creek. Did not get upset stomach nor parasites, water tasted better than from the tap…the dog and I are still alive.

  • Good filter kit for camping or bug-out bags!
Because we ARE +78% water we need to keep topping off the tank... and polluted water WILL NOT do the trick. Which is why we ALL need a SOURCE of fresh clean water. Arrived promptly and in good condition. Saving it for a rainy day if I have to... make sure YOU have access to SAFE drinking water.

  • Easy assembly, quick filtering action
I used this filtering system on one trip and it worked as expected. Filtered and enjoyed lake water on a 4-day trip to boundary water with no issues. It takes about five to 8 minutes to filter three gallons. Performed a little test on the last day of the trip by drinking a cup of unfiltered water and got sick for a few days. It works lol. haven't checked to see if replacement filter is available. ... show more

  • Product works.
My son's and I just spent 3 days on the Colorado River, in Glen Canyon. We did the back hall services up to the dam and kayaked down through horse shoe bend. We did 14 miles and camped two nights. This little filter provided us all the water we used over the three days we were there, we filter at least 8 different bag fills to meet our needs. It worked great. Will use again and probable purchase a second one for back up for long back woods trips. ... show more

  • Great water purifier for when you're just not sure about your water source
We saw this on the Wooded Beardsman's YouTube channel, and had to get one to treat the water at our hunting camp. Our camp's water comes out of the ground into a collector, then it overflows into a reservoir, before traveling by pipe into the camp. The water should be pure, but you never know if something may have died where the water supplies the spring or even in the reservoir or collector. We hang the bag on a nail and let it drip into our 7 gallon water cube, and let gravity do all the work. It is slow going, and I've heard that pressing the bag will help it move faster, but we just let it do its own thing on its own time. The bag has a handle that slides on and off for filling and hanging. The most important thing to remember is to get all the air bubbles out of the tube, so the water flows well. Tapping and squeezing the tube will remove the air, and then gravity does the rest. There is no taste issue, and the water is completely clear. A must for anyone with the time to purify water. ... show more
