PC3648-30amp Pro Chaser DC-DC Voltage Regulator reduces DC voltage ranging from 36V to 48V down to 12V at 30A 360W power. The strong and robust completely sealed water-resistant Aluminum shell allows the unit to function under severe outdoor damp weather. The extra key switch wire turns the regulator ON/OFF along with the battery, preventing any accessories from wasting the power when vehicles not in use. The mated connector and butt connectors in the package make installation easy and handy. I bought this buck converter to use in my camper that I equipped with a 51.2v rack mount LiFePo4. The battery powers all my dc circuits through a fuse block. Used this in our Star EV 48V when switching from lead acid to lithium battery. Previously 12V's was supplied by using 2 of the 6V batteries (out of 8 total). This created uneven draw across the set. Installation was very straight forward, instructions were good. Flat mounted to marine grade pressure treated board that we added to cart as part of battery swap. Also added 12v 6 slot fuse block to use on 12v items (radio, lights, horn, 12V plug for 110v invertor etc.). Only issue was finding a switched line to turn reducer on/off with the key. We did not want reducer to be powered the entire time. It was not on the key switch (after tearing dash apart). After a lot of wire tracing finally found line that triggered power to motor. Tapped into line and now reducer is tied into both the dash key and the tow/run switch. Haven't run under heavy load yet but don't expect any issues. ... show more
