There were other less expensive options but I'm glad I bought this one as it's a brand that I recognize and it seems heavy duty and well-made to me, and the cable feels just like the one coming out of my RV. I used this extension cord on a recent ten day trip for extra reach to a generator for running various appliances, including the air conditioner. I used this as a cheap solution when someone cut and stole my RVs power cord. I cut the female end off and stripped the wires, which were nice and thick, and wired them right into the connection box. Worked like a charm, since the cable had the same dimensions as the original one. The quality of the wire seemed nicer than my stock cord and slightly higher gauge, although the same overall cord diameter. So it's almost more of an upgrade than just a replacement. The handle on the plug is awesome. If you've RV'd for a while, you know that lots of stuff is marketed to RVers that is expensive and totally unnecessary (RV toilet paper, anyone?). But there are also some nice products that seem to be designed by people who use their RVs and know what can be a real struggle. These handles seem to be one of those inspired products. ... show more

Ordered 2. One was in the retail box and the other was not. The one that wasn't in the box looked like a return. It didn't have a carry strap and it was half-way wound back up and twist tied.

    • Won't twist and lock in a Furrion plug.
Size: 25-Foot Style: Locking End
The twist and lock part of the plug is too long and won't twist and lock in a Furrion plug. It is the correct form, but the plug is too deep to work in the Furrion receptacle on the Forest River trailer. Cable cones with a nice carrying strap.

    • Use as shore power routing cable to and from Victron Multiplus nverter

I cut the ends off this and used it for extending in the original 30A shore circuit to and from my power center to my 3000W Victron Multiplus inverter. Very flexible and easy to run. It was a bit dicey to remove the black outer support material without injuring the conductors - used a table knife. You want to leave a little cabling on the ends so that you might use them for other purposes. For example, to bench test the Victron Multiplus. Per foot it was less expensive than other options and worked better IMHO. ... show more
