  • Compact, powerful, simple install
Size: 100 Amp Style: Converter - PM3 12V
The media could not be loaded. I got the PM3-100 (100amp) to replace my lame 13.1v 45amp charger-converter in my class A 2001 Rexhall motorhome. The new converter was easy to install, especially since I replaced a previous converter so all the wires were ready for connecting: - AC cord to an AC socket - Chassis ground to the Bonding Lug - Coach 12V (+) and (-) to the output ports on the converter - 4 screws (not supplied) to anchor the converter to the floor You can tune the output DC voltage using a screwdriver through one of the sidewalls. On the same sidewall, you can switch between 'fixed output' and '3 stages' charging. I tuned the output to 14.6v as was instructed in the manual (and also on my 6v batteries spec (I have two inline = ~12v)). The converter started charging the batteries while maintaining 14.6v on the output port which is noteworthy. The converter has a fan that turns on and off to prevent overheating. The fan is very quiet. In the attached video it sounds loud since my phone was very close to the fan but in reality, it's a weak hissing sound (similar to a computer fan). After charging the batteries for a while, the voltage switched to about ~13.5v to maintain the battery charge. Following the first few hours of use, it seems that the converter works flawlessly and according to spec. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Discovering that it's pretty small and relatively light was a nice bonus. ... show more

  • Works as expected
Size: 45 Amp Style: Converter - PM3 12V
This has helped program a few modules so far, including a full sized GMC pickup, holding voltage steady. Very impressive for the price point. For power delivery, i found a set of 6 gauge jumper cables at Walmart that had an lcd display to show current voltage. I cut the alligator clips off of one side to attach to the power supply. It works perfectly. It also comes with mounting tabs, so i attached it to the side of the roller cart with some sheet metal screws. Your mileage may vary for larger vehicles, or vehicles which require more than 45A to maintain proper voltage for programming, but this has done the trick for everything we've thrown at it so far. ... show more

  • works just as it should.
Size: 45 Amp Style: Converter - PM3 12V
I was replacing my rv battery every couple of years.. having owned boats I know how long deep cycle batteries should last.. most people say the batteries are being cheaply made . And that might be true. But I started looking at my converter.. its original to the rv and found that it was over charging the battery.. an over charged battery doesn't last long. So I first bought a rec pro converter(which Amazon did not put up my 2 star review). It over charged my battery to the point that it boiled electrolyte all over my basement floor. I returned it to Amazon. I then bought this converter. Here is how it worked.. The battery started at 12.4 v it was not installed in the rv (winter I bring it in). I connected the converter and it started charging at 14.47 v.. that voltage was maintained for about 40 mins or so.. the charge volage then lowered to 13.4 volts. The manual said it should charge at that rate for about 12 hours. I am assuming it did.. when I checked it the next morning the meter was reading 12.99 volts no electrolyte was on the floor! I am very pleased with the test and should be installing it in my rv on the near future. It should be a very easy install just 2 wires and a ground to the frame. I am hopeful that my rv battery will now be properly maintained and give me at least closer to 4 years service. The rv doesn't really use that much 12 v power when used dry camping.. lights. Which are l.e.d. and the water pump.. the low voltage computer boards on rhe fridge and the thermostat. Update Yhis review was released but the 2 star review I gave to rhe recpro converter was never published... which makes the amazing review system useless.. I wouldn't trust these reviews anyore.anymore.. ... show more

  • I bought 2 of these to hook together parallel (needed 200 Amps for CB amp) and it worked perfectly!
Size: 100 Amp Style: Converter - PM3 12V
I bought 2 of these to hook together in Parallel to get 200 Amps for a CB linear and they work perfectly! If you are trying to do the same, here is some info for you. When you hook these together in parallel (both reds hooked together and both blacks hooked together, then those cables hooked to your amps power leads) you need to set the tiny switch on the side of each power supply to "constant" voltage and then turn the other tiny switch with a flat head screw driver to adjust the voltage to 14 volts (or whatever your CB linear calls for). If its hard to get them set to exactly the same voltage just get them as close as you can, it doesn't have to be EXACT, but you do need to be as close to the same as you can get. Don't be discouraged when only 1 power supply lights up, that's normal. When you key up you will see the 2nd power supply light up when the extra amperage is needed. Be sure to give the power supplies room to breath, they might get a lil warm. :) ... show more

  • Very reliable charger
Size: 100 Amp Style: Converter - PM3 12V
I've been using the 100 amp charger for a few months now to charge up a couple of 200ah lifepo4 batteries for mobile work. It takes just a little over 2 hours to fill one up (the batteries throttle the charge for the last little bit). It's been very reliable and consistent. The bolt-on outputs made it very easy to connect some nice heavy wires. The fan runs when it's charging, but it isn't super loud. ... show more
