I bought these for my father for father's day and his birthday. These bar stools are very nice. I have had mine at my house for over a year and they still look like brand new. My grand daughter use them when they eat and complete crafts. These are easy to clean. Moderately heavy in weight. They seem to be holding up well. My dad is 84 and I am very comfortable with him using them. They swivel very smoothly. I know they must be good, because my dad wanted a set after he used mine. Love the looks of these. And they are sturdy and swivel easily and smoothly. Fairly easy to put together, though I ended up using my own Allen wrench because the one that came in the kit was too long/awkward for some of the placements. Love that real wood is used. Also grateful there were no added flame retardants. I am Chemically Injured/Sensitive and will say that the smell was overwhelming when I opened the box. Some of it was probably the faux leather and cushion material, but most of it seemed to be the wood/stain. Still, with a fan behind me (blowing the odors away) and a mask, I was able to put it together and the rest of the off-gassing went quickly—I was able to put them in the kitchen immediately after assembly and had no reactions and within a couple days there was no obvious remaining off-gassing even close up. I am immensely grateful for that and chalk it up to the quality materials. The cushions are very stiff and my elderly father had a hard time at first getting up on them (they only measured 1/2" higher than our previous stools, but seemed to make a bigger difference for mounting) but I encouraged him to give them a few days and the cushion has since loosened up and he does fine now. ... show more

Really happy with this purchase overall. The wood and stain look like genuine quality—not cheap or fake-looking at all—and it feels solid and durable. Assembly was very easy and straightforward, which was a big plus. It’s also a great fit for our bar table and doesn’t take up too much space, which we were specifically looking for. I did end up choosing the wrong color for our space, which is on me, but aside from that I’m very pleased with the chair and hopeful it will hold up well over time. I purchased these chairs to go with a new table. Did my best trying to match the wood color of the table but chairs turned out to be a little darker, but still looks ok as it helps pull the dark features from the table out. I also purchased because of the weight limit per chair as we have a few larger family members and they definitely feel sturdy enough for them. However, I should have paid more attention to the reviews regarding the small seat as it is definitely small. Not much extra room for more than your butt cheeks but we are dealing with it. They were easy enough to put together, a 1 person job really but did need some tightening after about 2 weeks of use. We did add some felt feet to the bottom of each chair to help to protect the floor, plus to make them a little more stable. I usually only have adults in my house, but I dont think I would recommend for a house where younger kids would use them because of the seat being so small and kids love to move around. Cushion on seat is decent enough but I am worried how it will hold up after some time, fingers crossed. Swivel option is good, this is the feature my husband wanted. The foot rest for me was also important as I'm a huge foot rest girl when they are available and right now they feel solid, don't feel like they are easily going to break when being used. So with this said, I would recommend but also say chairs are probably better for a bar type set up then kitchen table. ... show more

When my chairs arrived one of the support rings were cracked I contacted manufacturer on a Friday night. By Monday morning they contacted me.
