I have no complaints; this works great for what we are doing with it, planting and fencing. It is a bit loud but that was expected and not an issue. It does the job just fine, works best with two people though. Very happy with the purchase, we'll see how long it lasts, I'm pretty hard on equipment.

The reason for the 4 star is that the air cleaner filter cover arrived broken and failed to stay on. I had to purchase a longer screw and a washer to repair it. It seems to be holding together for now. Although warned in other reviews and be the seller to check the bolts holding things together, everything seemed to be ok. I checked both before and after use. The starter cord was a little difficult to pull at first but when it worked the thing started right up. Let it warm up a little before using it. Relatively easy to operate. I was worried but it does not turn until you rev it and then is easy to control the speed. I hit a rock in a hole but I simply let go of the handle and throttle and it spun a little and then stopped. No problem but I had to go around the rock. Overall it worked good and so much quicker and easier than digging by hand. Other than the air filter cover it seems to be decent quality and it arrived with three size augers as well as three extensions that I needed. ... show more

Very nice kit to have if you have multiple projects. Drill is fairly easy to use but the priming bulb has already stopped working and it must be laid on its side to allow the carburetor to fill up.

I has now used this machine under the very West Texas sun. The dirt here is extremely hard for even at a depth of 3 feet this machine did very well. I have tried the recommended fuel ratio and found it causes the machine to run extremely hot. I then used 50:1 and the machine ran cooler and the torque increased tremendously. I’m not sure why the manufacturer suggested a more viscous mix but appears the oil does build up in the muffler as I had to clean it out. The auger is a great product. Buyer Beware Not only is this junk, but you can't get return shipping unless you pay for the return shipping And because it is so heavy, it's like paying twice for something that doesn't start or run. "Do Not Waste Your Time Or Money"!!!!!!!! Update ** it cost me $235 for a new carburetor, and tune up, to get it running ** so yeah be careful with buying from this company, because the post office wanted nearly $130 just for return shipping, so in the end it would of cost me half the purchase price just to return the post hole digger, with nothing to show for it. So basically this machine ended up costing me a grand total of nearly $400. Still really upset with they're policy of making the purchaser pay for return shipping. Moral of the story is, read the return policy prior to purchase. ... show more
