This space-themed Lego activity book came in handy during a recent road trip we took. My 8 year old had a great time doing the sticker activities and making her own space scenes. We didn’t bring actual physical Legos to do the building activities but she still spent plenty of time just using the stickers. Speaking of stickers: this activity book has SO MANY STICKERS. You might want to keep an eye on your little ones who prefer to place stickers anywhere but where they belong! I’d recommend this activity book for around ages 5-8. Technically you need to be able to read the instructions but even kids as young as 3 will have a good time using this just as a sticker book as my 8 year old did. ... show more

I ordered this book, along with the Animals title of the same series, for my kids to use on a road trip instead of being on screens. I loved sticker books as a kid, and this is a fun one! Brightly colored and easily digestible for early readers (I’d say best for K-2), each page has interesting facts and questions to answer, as well as directions for which set of stickers to use for that page. The stickers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, they’re easy to peel off, and theystick well to the page. Fun for fans of LEGO, but the subject matter is broad and engaging enough to appeal to other kids, too, even if LEGO isn’t their jam. I was surprised to find that this is actually quite an informative book for the age group, too, so would still be fun to read and come back to (or donate to a classroom library) even after the stickers have been fixed in place. ... show more

This LEGO Ideas Activity Book Space from DK lived up to my expectations after using several materials from the brand in early elementary classrooms for years. The book is bright with tight binding and clear printing. The pages have an appealing layout the the text is error-free. I like the way the prompts in the book are designed to help facilitate creative play rather than just being a step-by-step guide of designs for a kid to replicate. That encourages more open-ended exploration and is becoming a favorite for our little guy who tends to get stuck in the creative planning process. Packing this book with a zip top bag of Lego pieces made a great screen-free travel activity. Overall, I would highly recommend this title. I love that this activity book has the ability to be used in conjunction with your own lego pieces or with the stickers provided in the back of the book. Our Lego collection is not very impressive yet, so we will definitely be utilizing the stickers; the stickers are also SO much better for use as a travel activity book. I flipped through the book before my son started working on it, and found that the book was very informative on space. Definitely a well thought out activity book with something different on each page. The one downside is that all the stickers in the back of the book are not in order, which could be a little frustrating for your child. I understand they were probably trying to optimize space on the pages, but there are quite a few sticker pages to flip through trying to find what you’re looking for. ... show more

This activity book was a perfect companion for a recent trip (especially when we knew we’d be visiting a LEGO location). “All you need are some LEGO pieces and this book!” which contains enough stickers to keep one occupied even if you don’t have LEGO pieces at hand (like on an airplane). I found the stickers easy to peel off and they were clearly labeled (for which page to use each sticker set). The activities are space-themed and offer numerous facts and information in addition to the activities. This is a sneaky way to entertain and also educate kids - and I love it. Like a lot of other reviewers, I expected this to be a book of instructions -- how to build a moon lander or such. It doesn't have instructions, but it does have inspiration and ideas for a LEGO lover. Older kids will be able to translate the designs shown in the book into their own builds. For younger kids, the book is also packed with activities and stickers. I don't think little kids will get as much out of it as an 8 year old, but if your kid enjoys stickers this will be a great buy. ... show more

What an absolute blast this book has been. We have had so much fun going through all the different activities and making all the things space related. My kids love lego. So we are always looking out for these books. They are always so much fun.
