I had to replace the water faucets behind my washer. My water faucet box was broken by a delivery person installing my new washer. The whole wall is covered with tile, and I didn’t want to mess up the wall. My garage is behind the washer wall so I cut a hole in my garage wall and replaced water connection box from the garage and used the door to cover the hole. Now if I need to change a valve I have access from the garage. While I was in the wall I also installed 2 1/4 turn shutoff valves in the wall so I don’t have to turn off the water to the house. ... show more

Did not open the package but product looks good. The measurements given for rough opening are really the minimum needed to install it.! The drawing looks like it could fit to about 12 inch opening and usually rough opening has some space around. Not in this case.

As you can see (and the door is still in it's cellophane packaging), there is one detached latch. Obviously missed by QA since the packaging was undamaged during shipping. I had to try to bang it into place, but it is sloppy. I can't return it because I was time constrained to install it. I ordered two, and the second one was ok. Metal is of decent thickness, just a poor latch system that obviously is not well monitored during manufacturing. ... show more
