This electric lawnmower is the best investment that I have made. I've had problems pulling the cord on a gas mower and this mower is just a push of a button. I'm 65 years old 100 lbs. and only 4' 10" tall so I should have gotten a self-propelled but for someone that is younger and stronger it pushes great. It cuts tall grass and the battery so far last 1 hour and 15 minutes because it has not died on me yet. Love the mower. ... show more

    • Good mower but self propelled feature failed after 3 years
Lawn mower worked reasonably well mowing a 5000 sqft lawn for three years until the self propelled feature stopped working. The mower issues 4 beeps when the throttle is engaged and nothing further happens. The primary blade motor continues to work fine but pushing against the failed motor is worse than no drive motor at all. I can't find what 4 beeps is supposed to indicate online or in the original manual. At this point I can't use the mower despite the cutting mechanism continuing to work. As part of a general review, I like the ergonomics of this mower - the size, weight, levers, etc. While the battery was sufficient after a few uses neither of my 5 amp batteries ever showed charging to 100% though they did continue to work just well enough for the job. ... show more

    • Good by last GAS powered yard product!
I've invested heavily in the Powerworks 60V yard machines. This was probably my last purchase except for maybe some longer lasting batteries. I could not be happier with the performance of this mower. It is easily half as loud as my last Troy-Bit gas mower. The rear wheel self propulsion is okay, but a little touchy for me... I would say I push on flat surface without it more than I do. I have yet to use the grass catcher OR the side discharge chute because the mulching is SO good! A solid FOUR star item... with lots of FIVE star love! con: a piece broke off of the bar for activating the self propulsion, and it now hangs too low for just fingers to grab and pull the bar. Does not effect the SP function at all... but a bit of a bummer. Having a hard time contacting customer support. ... show more

I have a very small lawn and thought this would be perfect, for avoiding the oil and gas mess. At first I could not even mow tge lawn, on one full charge. I was horribly dissapointed. Eventually I figured out (if like me, you've never owned one before) that by raising the mower deck only one setting, I can cut the entire lawn on half a charge! Now I love the mower. Lightweight and cuts uniformy and efficiently. The grass will clump up in the discharge chute, when wet (in the back), so like all mowers it cuts dry grass the best. ... show more

Not bad overall. I got about 2/3 of lawn done before 2hrs of recharging but the grass was long and I am pretty rough on a mower. I thought it was good overall. The weight was good overall and a decent price for electric.

Light weight compared to it's gas counterpart, but know it's not self propelled. If your yard is flat or nearly so you won't be disappointed. I put it together without looking at the manual so its pretty intuitive. I actually have a zero turn ride on mower but bought this for an area in the front lawn that is "unique" and also as a backup incase my main mower goes down. I recommend. ... show more

I really want this to be a 5 star review, but... We charged the battery for 24 hours and got started mowing. Was working really well. I was impressed by the performance of this lawn mower. 10 minutes in the battery died. I gave it the benefit if the doubt and charged another 24 hours. Only got another 10 minutes of mow time the next day. I don't know if I have a bad battery, or this is usual for this size, but 10 minutes is not enough time obviously unless you have a small strip to mow. I need at least 45 minutes to mow. Will try to contact customer service before returning. ... show more
