  • Good upgrade...
So, when I bought a house, it came with an electric lawnmower. That was good for light lawn cutting, but anytime there was a thick clump of grass, it'd completely bog down. Plus, the battery would only last for half of my lawn, meaning I had to go out and buy a second battery, or deal with waiting 2 hours between cutting the halves of the lawn. When the electric one died, it was kind of a blessing, so I ordered this one. Pros: Easy to assemble, took maybe 10 minutes, tops. No challenges there. Much more powerful than the electric lawnmower. Cons: Has a tendency to clump and stall if the grass is slightly damp, so I take my time to make sure it's a hot and dry day when mowing the lawn. The price of gas...but that's something I knew would happen. ... show more

  • Design flaw
Liked the self propelled feauture. When the pull cord frayed after 25 or so pulls. the frayed edges inside the machine prevents a full pull to start. When the seller wass made aware of this , the only reply I got was "Was it broke when you got it". Still haven't heard any thing else. Sent them the photo, with the "pull chord need replacement" added. still the only reply I got was "was it like that when you got it. I would not but this again. Putting together was easy, using was good. then the chord sez stop. and here I sit wth a product I can no longer use untill pull chor is replacedf. ... show more

  • I recommend it
I had a ryobi electric mower, worked well enough but I got fed up with batterys draining before I could finish the lawn. Decided to upgrade to the power smart. I’m happy with the purchase. No more overheating batterys to manage, no more half cut lawns. It was pretty simple to put together though the instructions weren’t very helpful. Also, it doesn’t specify how to remove the spark plug but it comes with a tool to remove it. Weird but tomorrow’s problem. I’ve had this for about 4 months, hadn’t experienced any issues. The grass bag attaches easy, the self propelling works well but uses more gas, everything’s simple and easy. ... show more

  • DB2321S Great deal for the money.
I've only had this mower since July 11, but so far seem to like it a little more every time I use it. Had the need for a new mower arise as my 24 yr old Craftsman Eager1 started blowing oil out of the crankcase vent. I was hesitant at first worried if this was gonna be comparable to the Craftsman, after first use I can say I was honestly worried that I wasn't going to like it. It seemed to bog down a lot easier than the Craftsman (My lawn is thick/dense grass), but also being my first time using it I had the height adjustment one notch lower than my previous mower. After adjust the height up one spot the mower still bogs down slightly through the thicker or slightly wet grass but have not yet stalled it out, and I have always continued to push through the thick stuff just to see if it would but hasn't yet. Another worry I had was about the self propelled feature, as I am 34 and in decent shape I didn't purchase it with the intention of using it a whole lot. I just couldn't see passing up the feature for the extra $30 at the time I purchased it. I can say that the speed of the self propelled feature seems a decent pace, nothing to fast or slow and about what I would think would be the average pace a person would mow at. I was also worried with me not planning to use the self propelled feature but very rarely how easy it was going to push without it engaged. I am happy to say and surprised to say that it pushed easier maybe even a lot easier than the craftsman, I am sure this is to the lighter mower deck housing and overall weight of the mower. This also comes in handy while maneuvering around all kids yard obstacles, and of the three times that i have mowed my lawn since getting it I have indeed made improvements in my cutting time. This being due to the fact I can push this one slightly faster and with less fatigue (less breaks for me) than my old Craftsman. The mower comes with attachments for side discharge or rear bagging options, neither of which I have used for more than five minutes each (I prefer to mulch). The bag seems decently sized, I mean it is just a push/walk behind mower. The side discharge seems a little flimsy and might easily snap off if your not paying attention and get too close to something. Overall I am so far very happy with my purchase, would definitely recommend if your use is light to medium duty (especially now that the price has dropped even more since my purchase). My lawn takes about two hours or just over with my previous mower and I have cut close to 20 minutes off of that with this mower. I will update should anything change, but hoping with regular maintenance and cleanings it will last for a handful of years. ... show more

  • Great price and great performance
After simple assembly, added oil and gas the engine fired up with the first pull. Only on one occasion has it not fired on first pull, be sure to use the primer button. I mow 3.5 to 4.0 miles of grass mulching all the way and the mower loves it. I'm now mulching wet fresh fallen leaves and couldn't be more satisfied. Free shipping to my door was a bonus but so far the overall use and performance of this machine is an easy match to my "Craftsman" that scoured the earth for seven years. ... show more

  • Mows well, some weak parts
While the product performs well and is a good value, the mower is not robust. I used it once and the front wheel height adjuster broke. The mower must have been a return that was not checked or inspected prior to being sent. It came with no instructions, missing the chute for the deck, the bagger doesn't fit and only came with one of the handle knobs. I ended up purchasing handle knobs a Lowe's for $7 which isn't an issue, but the other parts missing and not fitting created some frustration while using the product. The mower started easy and the self propelled feature was perfect. The mower is not difficult to use and did a nice job. It's unfortunate that the height adjuster broke right away and the other parts were missing or didn't fit. All in all a decent mower for the price. ... show more

  • Great., but....
The lawnmower itself works very well and does a job very well. All the parts and accessories and putting it together is very easy to do. The problem begins with the self drive and how easy it gets dislodged and stops working. Most of the accessories are hard plastic so they break when bumped or stressed a little bit. Is a good lawn mower for the price but the accessories make it feel cheaper than it actually is. That's why they got three stars over 5, not for the cutting ability, but for how all my attachments have broken and force me to use the lawn mower one way. ... show more
