I usually wash my hardwood floors on my hands and knees but I dont want to do that for every cleaning . This works great. I purchased the demeneralized smelling water which works great. Have to use that or your floors will look foggy or streaked. Only thing is I wish they made some type of disposable wipes you could attach. Works great ! I wish the cord was longer . It's quite short .

When using with cleaner I cannot tell the difference of just water and the cleaner. But the machine itself works great. I added lavender for scent. Keep on low when using in laminate or wooden floor.

I used this for ceramic tile like flooring and it done great! Only issue I had was the distilled water place was not big at all. Had to use a whole bottle just for one room...

I have never had anything break on one of these steamer mops, never. Confused how the reviewer I just read had two things break when over many, many years, I have owned probably four of these. They do eventually die, but that is with a lot of use and/or failure by me to EMPTY the water reservoir which then causes the rubber gasket in the water reservoir to rot it. That is NOT the fault of Bissell, but of my own laziness or someone forgetting to empty the reservoir after use. I have had three maid services use THESE mops instead of their own mops brought in with their own chemicals. They prefer THIS by far to their own company's selections of getting the mopping done! I especially like going over the pet feeding area a few times and slowly to make sure as many germs as possible are killed. The cloths are interesting. NEVER have I liked nor preferred the one with the stiffer, squiggly waves in it. My floors just don't get that dirty with SCRUBBING necessary. Yet Bissell manages that I have to buy BOTH kinds of scrubbers when I ONLY like the plain white ones. But I play the game to get what I WANT. Again today, a maid who has been here two other times will arrive. She really likes the mop. I like that she isn't bringing in heaven knows what from other homes. She also likes the demineralized scented waters by Bissell. I am not sure they are worth the money, but the do not streak the floors. I have used water straight out of our refrigerated water which goes through a super-duper water filter. I have also bought gallon sized distilled water which works well. BUT if you have black marble or such, I would DEFINITELY recommend the selection of the Bissell demineralized scented water. No, I have NEVER had anything break on a one of these whether a maid was using it or I was using it. I do take care of my things, that is true, but making sure that the mop is against something if you must leave it or such, should be done. AND ALWAYS: don't leave the plug in and the mop unattended. It has no other on-off mechanism and you could burn up the heating unit! I haven't, but I could see that happening.

Black cap broke off and was stuck so there was no way to contain the water without spilling everywhere. Also the scrubber broke off
