Design has been updated from the stock pictures on Amazon. Design is more like OEM now and it has a metal retainer for the thermostat as opposed to plastic. Looks very similar to the pictures of the Dorman brand. Made in China. It was easy to install and holds the car right at 190. Hopefully it last. I removed a Motorad brand thermostat of unknown age/mileage that had stuck open. ... show more

Looks to be identical to the OEM and of equal quality. Best price I could find. Of course, it was more of a project than I had hoped. Took me a couple of hours in the garage, but it solved the check engine light issue, so worth it.

Used on my friends 2007 Mazda MX5. Install was pretty easy. I'd say 1.5 hours. Gates product is quality like it always is. Replaced to fix the coolant code a lot of these mazdas get.
