  • Solid 4.5 - Worked for almost 4 years
Color: black
Pros: Works as planned Set it up one time and never have to do it again Useful when plugging in extra USB when the PC or Mac has limited USB ports USB 3.0 - Faster data speeds Will power devices from computers USB port. Doesn't need power supply One device for all my USB needs. Cons: - Power Supply broke after almost 4 years of use. So when I removed the cable my computer all devices needing usb power (i.e. desklight, fan, charging of headset) stopped working. Need to purchase a new one. - Only one Power Port. For me, I want more USB power ports to use with my phone, tablet, fan, light, headset or other devices needing power. Overall a solid 4.5. I loved how simple it is and how it kept my desk cleared from USB electrical power plugs ... show more

  • Reliable and Convenient Hub
Color: black
I've been using the Atolla Powered USB Hub for over two years now, and it's still working perfectly. This hub has become an essential part of my setup, providing seamless connectivity for all my devices. With its seven ports, including one smart charging port, I can easily connect my laptop, external hard drives, mouse, keyboard, and more, all at the same time. One of the features I appreciate the most is the individual on/off switches for each port. This allows me to power off specific devices without unplugging them, which is incredibly convenient for managing power consumption and device connectivity. The switches are responsive and easy to use, adding an extra layer of control to my setup. Moreover, the included 5V/4A power adapter ensures stable and reliable performance, even when all ports are in use simultaneously. I've never experienced any power-related issues or fluctuations, which speaks volumes about the hub's build quality and reliability. Overall, the Atolla Powered USB Hub 3.0 has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality, durability, and convenience. It's a reliable and versatile hub that has seamlessly integrated into my setup, making it a must-have accessory for anyone looking to expand their connectivity options. ... show more

  • Does Exactly What It States With No Fuss - The Solution!
Color: black
If you're anything like me (A Professional DJ/Producer) and if you have a MAC with limited input/output choices this would be the go to solution. For years now I have been having to go behind my MAC to unplug and re-plug USB devices so that I could use them. It's not because of my limited technical knowledge either (certified computer technical support). I could find no solution that I could live with for the price range that I was seeking.. The products that I researched all had low quality parts and components along with no power supply. As you know an Imac generally doesn't have a large power supply unit (for that you need a MAC PRO). To make matters worse my MAC came with a Bluetooth Magic Mouse that is horrible! It drops connection often and doesn't play nice with most rechargeable batteries (the keyboard doesn't have this issue...). I now use an Apple USB Mighty Mouse so that it does not. I have other Bluetooth devices in my home; therefore, I can't see this as being an interference issue the other devices work fine. Now, I don't need to unplug my DJ/Production equipment from the back of my Imac anymore! I'm also going to purchase one of these hubs as a mobile unit for my Macbook Pro. I recommend this for any MAC user that has limited input/output options and would like to expand USB ports/devices. *I also recommend this for any PC user that has this requirement! I utilize PC's in my home network as well and this device has worked flawlessly since I got it. You can power the ports on or off individually which was a major added plus for me. I have no use for all seven other USB 3.0 ports on my PC or MACs. Further all of my PC's have many internal USB 3.0/3.1 ports due to front panel box expansion and additional USB 2.0/3.0/3.1 headers on the motherboard. However, they are nice to have and should I ever require them they're there. The overall quality of the device is impressive for the price. As I stated prior the individual power on/off ports are wonderful, the ports themselves are seemingly study and not flimsy. It has a cord that extends quite a bit to plug into the back/front of any machine in the most awkward situations. You can even charge your IPAD, IPHONE, Tablets, Androids, and others using the charging port on the device. *I was looking for something anything bad & creepy to say about this little cheap device. I could find nothing that's an additional added plus. ... show more

  • Great for 2.5 years. Then not so great. USB 3 funtionality quit. Still does USB 2
Color: black
Worked great for 2.5 years. Added 7 USB3 ports to my PC. Seems like everything is USB so I needed extra ports. Sadly, about 6 months ago, USB 3 devices stopped working. They powered up, but no communication. USB 2 devices though, still work, so I suppose it is the internal circuitry. I checked the port it was plugged into on the computer to be sure it was USB 3, and changed to another USB 3 port, but still no USB functionality in the device. I noticed this first when a High quality, 256g USB3 thumb drive quit working. It still worked in a USB 2 port, but had all sorts of errors on the USB3 port. I believe this hub damaged the circuitry in the thumb drive. It no longer works on any USB 3 port, then stopped working on USB2. Then I noticed that none of my USB 3 devices worked on this hub. So I have no proof, but I believe this hub's internal circuitry failed and damaged my thumb drive. So disappointed, because until this incident, this was a great hub. Heavy wiring, came with power supply, worked flawlessly until it didn't. I am considering replacing it with this same model, but not sure. I have 10 year old USB 2 hubs still working well, and I don't know if this brand is an issue, or maybe similar brands have the same chipset and prone to the same issues. If you ask me a year ago, I would of been 5 stars and a hearty recommendation. BTW, the hub is on a UPS system and surge protected. The port it was connected to is on the motherboard, and the port is fine. So it did not damage my PC or port. Since I use a lot of USB 3 devices now, I am going to remove this, as using it as a USB 2 hub is not useful. ... show more

  • Great usb hub
Color: black
Attached some sticky tape to the back of this guy and have it mounted directly on the wall next to my PC. The option to power each port individually is great. I can say i use this daily. between charging my headset, iphone, apple watch or my ultrahuman ring. works perfect.
