This spreader exceeded my expectations. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and functions well with my DeWalt OEM batteries. The angle of throw can be adjusted from 180 degrees to about 45 degrees, which is useful in tighter spaces where you want to avoid overspreading. On the highest setting, it throws fertilizer about 10-15 feet. This is a great choice for my yard, but might struggle with lots larger than 1/4 acre, due to its handheld nature and smaller capacity. Build quality is good, and it seems like a solid value. Design is basic and straightforward, and the yellow is a good match for my OEM DeWalt tools.

This is just about the neatest "toy" I ever bought myself. I was getting so tired of pushing a rotary spreader around the yard, bending over too far and pushing against long grass. It took my back several hours to recover, and it's the job I most dreaded every spring and fall. But with this is just a stroll around the yard. You can set it to whatever distribution density you're comfortable walking with, vary the angle it throws to, even stand in one spot and cover areas that need a little more fertilizer or are harder too get to. Even on a windy day this did a terrific job. I don't spread ice melt, but I'm sure it would work equally well with that. Now I'm going to go back out and spread some Spectracide, just for kicks. The only down side, and it's a small one, is that you do have to refill the hopper 3-4 times on a 5,000 sf lawn. But a bigger hopper would be cumbersome, so this size is a good compromise.

I had decent expectations going in, and this little spreader actually delivered. It accepted my DeWalt 20V battery with no issues and handled lawn fertilizer just fine. Occasionally, some material would clog under the spreader wheel, but that’s more about the material than the spreader itself. It’s a bit larger than it looks in the pictures, but still light enough to use with one hand. I’ve also used it in the winter for spreading salt on icy walkways, and it worked great for that too—really versatile tool to have on hand. You’ll need to refill it a few times for bigger jobs, but overall I’m glad I bought it. Makes yard work and winter prep way easier than pushing around a bulky spreader. great value and durability

So far, I have run one bag of 13/13/13 through this little guy. Not sure if you are supposed to use water to rinse out the shoot but it seems to still run well. I will follow up with after a few more bags. It sure beats hand cranking on medium size yards. I used my Dewalt 20v battery and it has plenty of power.

Purchased this to spread salt for ice melt in the winter. Worked great for 3 applications. Then the spindle locked up and the “blade” inside the bucket broke off. Cute and would have been great with the dewalt batteries but definitely not a great design.

This little spreader is awesome!! I have a ton of natural areas and deep woods deer food plots and in the past i used the ones from the box store that used like AA batteries, not this one, interchanges with my common power tool recharge battery, it goes and goes and does a fantastic job spreading seed and fine weed pre-emergent, I have used it with granular 10 10 10 but not for lime. saves me allot of time and work!
