I have the original which is narrower on the bottom, exact same model from 4 years ago, this one iwon’t fit my rack. Pan removal and insertion not smooth at all, you to juggle it to fit. Cooking is the same so that’s good.

Bought this to replace an identical one that had failed. Amazon advertised as used, like new and it looks new with all manuals. The cookbook was damaged but didn't need it anyway. However the edge of the pull-out plastic base was chipped along the top edge allowing hot air to escape and the catch to release the inner basket sticks. Don't know if this was done in shipment or was already like that. It functions properly so we are going to use it with the base and basket from the old one. ... show more

I’ve really been wanting an air fryer for a good while now, but the hubby was ‘worried’ it wouldn’t hold a candle to our standard fryer (which I personally never use.. & not so much because it’s not as “healthy” as other cooking methods, but more so because it’s a friggin nightmare of a mess to use and clean). Welp.., after a solid month and a half, the jury’s in... we.are.obsessed. I’ve cooked, as well as reheated, every possible thing I could think of in this sucker and it is truly the bees-kneeeees. I never thought I’d say this but I truly love it even more than my instant pot and kitchen aid mixer with all of its crazy, awesome attachments.. it’s that life changing. In addition to being able to quickly “fry” almost everything under the sun, anything you reheat in it is 100x better than the microwave, the oven, and yes, even the restaurant you may have brought it home from. It’s also stupid easy to clean because literally nothing sticks to it. If you’re on the fence about getting this bad boy, just do it.. you won’t be disappointed! ... show more

I waited to write this review so I could use it, clean it, and reuse it a few times and have a good idea of how it works. First, when I was shopping for an air fryer, it was very important to me to be able to adjust the temperature manually. This does a good job of that, in ten degree increments. I think I would like it even more if it were in five degree increments, but it's not a huge issue. Second, I didn't want something that takes up more space than a microwave in my kitchen. This unit was slightly larger than I was hoping, but it's still practical for my small kitchen. Third, I'm only making food for two people, generally. This size is definitely adequate for two people, maybe three, but if you are a family of 4+ : get the bigger size! Or get used to cooking in batches. It is easy to clean, I basically just use a soft sponge and a tiny bit of soap, I don't want to degrade the non-stick coating as that seems like it would render the thing useless until a replacement was ordered. I haven't tried any recipes from the "cookbook", but I've made several frozen items including lumpia, pizza rolls, mozzarella sticks, etc. Cooks way faster than an oven and doesn't heat up the entire house in the summertime. I have been enjoying some 'experimenting' with this air fryer. There are some big differences in cooking from the outside in, as opposed to from the inside out (as in microwave). Example, I put some bratwurst in my microwave and the skins burst off the meat on one of them and they lay on plate in puddle of juice. Bratwurst in air fryer have crisp skins and retain juice. I have not done a lot with this fryer, I bought some Checkers frozen French fries and some other name brand onion rings. Using the default heat/time setting way over cooked this stuff so I have adjusted times and do not hesitate to check things as they cook. That is about all I have done so far. I think this unit is a good addition to my culinary equipment. I cleaned off a shelf in a closet to store it because I do not care to have it sitting out all the time and it is no problem to carry, it has a little hand hold spot on each side. The basket and drip pan clean up easily (after each use) and I think it is a very well designed device. This is the only air fryer I have ever used but I notice they are all pretty similar. As a single person who does not cook for company very often this seems to be a good size, couples, especially with kids, may prefer the (a) larger size. ... show more

Bought this and my wife liked it until it would not come on, called Amazon, it was over 30 days so they gave me manufactures telephone number, what a waste of breath, I asked for a supervisor and customer service representative said she is a supervisor and informed me I was still SOL! Don’t buy!!
