Heads-up you bass BURP fanatics! This BAMF Series Subwoofer (15 in., 3,800 Watts max, Dual 2Ω) from Power Acoustik is engineered for the most extreme conditions. Massive 3 in. 4-layer voice coils built on an aluminum former can take the heat. Freakishly oversized motor structures provide more magnetic inertia than is ever necessary for a woofer. Spruce tree pulp cones, high density extended excursion foam surround and hybrid suspension dampers work together to contain the momentum to a shattering roar!

It hits so hard that it shook the cover off of one of the tail lights in my cadillac. Ive been building sub enclosures for years, this is one the cleanest sounding, best built subs I ever owned to date. Cone stitched & glued to surround. Made to take punishment. Must install in SPL sub enclosure. 4 cu. ft per sub. I have 2 in pre-fab box for now, just until custom box is finished, u really only need 1 :) but i had i already bought 2, both subs 2ohm dvc wired in parallel willo make amp see 1/2 ohm.I have both subs connected to Power Acoustik EG1-10000D amplifier which will do 1/2 ohm all day. Talk about serious flex, No joke ive had peeps blow through red lights to distance themselves from my jeep, at 1st thought they were in a hurry but after 4 or 5 times witnessing this i figured it out. I guess im slow ;-) I guess they dont like bass as much as i do, lolz . al in all u cant go wrong with Power Acoustik products atleast bamf , mofo & edge series , cant speak for the rest of their products. I got some serious thump/flex for under $600, (2) 15" subs & 10000 watt amp which has been dyno'd to do over 5000 watt clean. People that say " they dont care for Power Acoustik equipment" have never owned Power Acoustik equipment or atleast matched the correct components together in my opinion ... show more

Sounds great but blew the box apart jist during its break in period.. Great bang for the buck and we will see how much it will take after break in

    • Great sub, great price, no longevity
First off I wanna start by saying i love this subwoofer, but I only had it for a year and my voice coils are going bad, this is the second power acoustik sub I’ve owned that has gone bad a year after I have gotten it, I do love power acoustik as a brand other than amps they’re the only subwoofers ive ran, but I have to say I’ll be moving to a different company with the purchase of my next 15” ... show more

Built a 4 cu ft vented box per mfr specs using 3/4 mdf. I added internal bracing and lots of polyfill- you will need it. I wired the 2 Ohm coils in series and powered it off of a Behringer NX 6000 (1 channel @ 4Ohms /1200W RMS ). It thumps and is surprisingly accurate for a 15.

I've got this in a sealed 2 cubic foot box wired to 4ohms and connected to a Crown XLS1000 bridged to 1100watts rms@4ohms for my home theater system. I wasn't sure how deep this thing can go but I ran tone sweeps from 1hz up to 100hz and this sub has surprisingly good performance in the 12-15hz range which is great for movies. The output is at its loudest around 45hz. I didn't test it but for you guys that are looking for high spl in your trunk a pair of these will slap hard and loud. The sound quality is very good as well which really surprised me. I use my system for music as well as movies and it's very much at home for both uses. This is replacing my excellent Sunfire HRS12 that I've had for years and I couldn't be happier. This handles the lower frequencies cleaner and is louder in the upper frequencies. I know the specs have it rated to handle more power than I'm using so I can't verify the limits of what it will handle but the 1100watts of clean power that I'm using is pushing it very well. ... show more

    • it's one speaker. The photo of two along with the number two for voice coils fooled me.
installed this in a two-hole box and put it in my music room. Sound and value totally satisfactory. The one installation hiccup was finding that the plastic or silicone ring around the speaker was slightly misaligned with the pre-punched holes and I did not realize immediately.     • Power rating isnt accurate
This product can not handle the amount of power it claims at all dont try. The seller is not a power acoustik approved vendor which is fine because they sent me a replacement product when the first one blew. The only downside to that is that power acoustik will not accept the product for repair or replacement if it does malfunction. The speaker is definitely loud and built pretty well. Cant complain about the sound either. Overall if you want a cheap 15 that can handle a decent amount of power then its not a bad buy. Just do not try to push anywhere near what its rated at unless you want to deal with getting a new one. ... show more
