As of right now this is a one star review. Amazon is sending a replacement. I was able to do a small weld and when I set it down to check the quality, which was poor, when I picked it up to try more welding it would not work. The circuit board comes on and you can adjust the settings but they won’t stay where you put them, they go back to default, when the trigger is pulled it makes a whining sound but the fan does not engage nor does it work. If the replacement works better I will change my review. There is no option to contact the seller for support.

Got the 6013 welding rods and they are great. If you are building a utility trailer, welding a garden gate, repairing a lawnmower deck, or putting together a workbench, the 6013 is your go-to. It strikes an arc easily and delivers clean, attractive welds with minimal effort. The 6013 welding rod is widely considered the "all-purpose" or "beginner-friendly" champion of the stick welding world. It is a high-titania potassium-coated electrode designed for light-duty fabrication, repair work, and DIY projects. It actually works in most positions - While it can weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead), the 6013 is uniquely well-suited for vertical-down welding. This is incredibly useful for fast, cosmetic welds on thin material where deep penetration isn't required. Price is reasonable and the quality is apparent. I recommend these rods.

Junk junk junk Worked when I tested it during the return period but didn’t need it until today. The thing is dead. Nada. Nothing. This product is garbage. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Buy anything else. I wish I could give it zero stars! Do not buy. It will not last!!!
