Had to weld the deck on my mower so I got this I suggest a full face welding helmet, I messed up and just used some cheap goggles and got what looks to be sun burnt on my face because of the spark, my first time ever doing anything with a welder so hey , live and learn I guess. It worked great after I figured out how to not get the rod stuck to the deck every time and for the price this thing has all the power you will need , I only hit 80amps doing the deck, seems to be a great value and very portable. Setup was easy and straightforward, I did need to read directions at all as I had welders in my family and remembered basically what I saw way back then , I used every stick that came with it to fix the deck on the old troy bilt pony and got the job done and hopefully it last , I'm hoping the welder will last as well , if it your first time welding anything,try a mig welder instead, they seem to be easier for beginners, unless you just want to learn both get this one , it's low price tag made it a great buy and I'll most likely use it again ... show more

Great for small light weight jobs. Something needed in a pinch. it works great if you don't push its limits. Realize what you bought and paid. It's a great little machine. This is NOT a shop welder. This works well when used within its limits.

So I’ve had this little guy for about 3 years now and it’s still going strong I’ve use probably burned about 40 pounds of 5/8 7018 and around 120 pounds of 3/32 6013 welding rods like I’m pretty impressed by this thing.

It really does the job. I took 3/32 7018 and made several 2” welds with no shut off to cool. Obviously not for big jobs but great to have around the house for small repair jobs

This is a handy little welder, I only used it once and it worked perfectly!!! I had my doubts but it did what I needed it to do !! I recommend this welding machine…..by the way I used this welding machine using an 100 ft. extension cord.

First of all, the instruction manual was only a few pages of THE WORST translated english I have ever read. It was practically nonsense. Normally I could care less about that, however, after only about 2 minutes of being powered on, and after literally only executing 2 very brief spot welds as a test, this welder stopped functioning as a welder. The unit still had power. The display still showed the power level, and the cooling fan was still running, but weld it would not. I didn't even set the power to more than 160. So I powered the unit off. Checked all the connections. Waited a few minutes.. and nothing. It literally gave up the ghost after a maximum of 6 seconds of total welding time. It is now nothing more than a fancy looking box with a cooling fan and a digital display that shows a number that no longer has any meaning. The manual doesn't even have a troubleshooting section... and even if it did.. it wouldn't make any freaking sense anyway. This thing sucks ass!! I would give it no stars for killing what little joy I temporarily felt.. but that is not an option. Don't waste your money! ... show more
