This cat carrier is very well made. It has a loop at the top so you can roll the cover up. The cat can explore the inside without feeling threatened. It has removable rods in the top. Without them it is collapsible and with them it says erect. t is generously sized on the inside. We checked the airlines we normally use and this would be too large to use as a carry on bag. If you plan to use it for air travel, check your airline restrictions first.

The media could not be loaded. This "large" carrier barely fits an adult cat, but would be great for kittens. An adult cat would have to curl up to fit and mine kept shuffling around uncomfortably. There are 2 rods you have to insert into the top of the carrier first prior to use for stability. After assembly the carrier is very sturdy and the mesh is durable enough to withstand scratching too. This would have been great for my cats a couple years ago but now they're all grown up.

Clarence really likes this carrier so I frequently take him out with me for walks, especially if we go to the park or a wooded area so he can see the birds and squirrels. This carrier is quite spacious and he has plenty of room to turn around, etc., and also to just lay full out for a nap in the fresh air. I of course like it because it is very well made and also the fact that Clarence enjoys it so much. I always leave the side open in the house and I find that many times he will go into it for a nap instead of his bed or the cat tree. I recommend this carrier if you prefer a more “open” design for your kitty. Just be aware that one screened side has no covering over the screening.

First picture is my fat cat inside, obviously too small for him as a carrier. Second picture is my large but trim adult cat, could work as a carrier. But this has been working better as a little tent that the cats can get away from each other inside. It only has the top handle as seen in the stock photo, which makes this very inconvenient and off balance for carrying a cat. I don't know if they ever tested it with a cat, but they do NOT sit still and this would be rocking all over the place. I wish it even had hooks to be able to move my shoulder strap from another carrier onto this one, but it does not. The base is a stable heavy duty cardboard with a light batting inside of a one side soft, one side hard removable piece. Even though it says it is airline approved, it does not come with added features that you need in this day and age for traveling with a pet- there is no way to lock the zipper closed, there is no where for pet identification papers, there is not even a place for a baggage tag except the singular handle. As a pet bed/tent, it works. As a carrier that is airline approved, I do not recommend. But at the price point, I don't suggest either.

I ordered this pet carrier for my gerbils, because it’s nice and room and I wanted them to have a little space to run around while being transported. I’m sure they will chew it up over time, but it’s great for now. Sorry cats, the gerbils love it too.

Well constructed and nicely built carrier. No instructions included, but all you do is insert the two stays into the top pouches and it's up and ready to go. Remove the sticks to fold flat for easy storage. Padding inside looks durable and provides some comfort, though it is not significantly thick. All four sides have thick mesh material which should weather all but the sharpest claws. If you want a fashionable, durable, well made carrier at a decent price, this is the one for you!
