As I’m sure you know, this isn’t an official NBA hoop. So, it’s not being compared to one. This is a step or two up from the plastic toddler hoops, and is big enough to grow with a youngster for a few quite a few years before they’re ready to graduate to a standard size hoop. But, for what this is, the price is great. I’m actually using mine around the pool which works quite well due to its small, portable size. My nephews have been playing with it quite a bit, and as long as they don’t hang from it, it should last quite a while. I won’t keep this outside, as I’m afraid the weather will get to it. I actually keep it in the garage when not in ise. The hoop was fairly easy to assemble, but it did take some time. Instructions are included and good enough to make sure you have the right assembly steps. Overall a good hoop at a very attractive price. Really pleased with this hoop/goal as one of the biggest reasons to order this was the height and adjustability to it. I have a 13 year old who loves basketball but is easily nearing 5'7 and will probably go past 6'. Instead of having to replace a goal every year this will work for us for a good while. Easy to assemble although it did take some time and easy to move around outside as we tend to like to keep it in the cul-de-sac when playing (no one lives around us) but keep it back up near the house when done. This has been great for all of our boys to play with but again, fantastic for our 13 year old who likes basketball and can't seem to stop growing! ... show more

I ordered this portable hoop for the pool out back. It is perfect for taller players, a little too high for the kids to dunk in. Otherwise, it is a nice portable system and would be great as a starter hoop for kids playing on the ground instead of the pool.
