Overall, for the price, it seems like a good hoop. The kids have been putting it to the test, and so far so good! Instructions overall were relatively clear. The tools provided are decent, but the positioning of the bolts made it hard to tighten the nuts. It was clear what to do, but not at always easy. You have to choose which height range you want when assembling, so plan accordingly. We went small, and will swap out the base pole when the kids get bigger. Backboard is a smaller size, but the description makes that clear. I actually prefer this for our kids.

A regulation basketball hoop is 18” in diameter. This hoop is only 15” in diameter. Other than that it seems decent for the price. My 15 yo is a little disappointed but I told him it will make him a more accurate player. Then he told me where I could stick the goal……

The maneuverability I only ranked 3 stars since is hard for me as a weak grandmother to move but my husband has no problem. As a goal for an 8 year old girl - this is a five star goal but if I would be concerned about sturdiness for a teenage boy. Happy with purchase.

Putting this thing together is trial and error because the instructions are worthless. The picture is not helpful and they don't label the parts. So it's anybody's guess which part goes with which part. I put the hoop together there times before I got it right. But once I got it right, my son loves it. It's surprisingly sturdy. And after we added the 200 pounds of sand, it was almost impossible to move and I felt it was safe for him to use. I love that the height is adjustable, so it can grow with him as he grows assuming he still likes basketball as he gets older.

Bought this for my son birthdays in June, it is now September and the rim support arms have already broken off. Their welding didn't hold up. It's a good goal but it could be welded better. My son is 13 and it's talk enough just not sturdy enough. If this was bought for a smaller kid it may be great, it's definitely not sturdy enough for older kids though.

I’m 5 feet short and this thing was gigantic for me to assemble. The instructions were clear enough. The holes were drilled properly. The backboard was shrink wrapped and the net seems to be of good quality. I have it assembled at the 7 foot net height. My 6 year old loves it. Great price for what hopefully will be years of fun. I would recommend this item.
