I purchased this portable air conditioner with the expectation that it would effectively cool my room when used with the water tank. Unfortunately, adding water did not improve its performance. Even when I added ice to the water, there was no noticeable difference in cooling. To make matters worse, the fan stopped working after just one week of use.     • Works decently but not buy again
You have to clean it when changing water. The tube's get moldy and are really hard to clean because they can not be taken off to clean. Sometimes it just doesn't come on. I would not buy it again.

It was a disappointment To make this work you will need: Fill it with very cold water otherwise the ice packs will melt so fast and it wont even start cooling 3 of the blades came bended Refilling it from too is a hastle and slow , and impractical from the bottom Once the ice packs melt it will start blowing humid air which makes the heat worse. They should have added a sensor to turn off the cooling once the water temperature goes above a limit. The sleep mode is terrible Its not as quite as advertised, i measured it , its closer to 50-55 db when working . ... show more

Like most of these units I was excited and expected the minimum. I blows air, some what cool air. But it’s not an air conditioner. Let me walk you through exactly what I did. I followed the instructions to a T. (I work in maintenance, this isn’t new to me but i know how to follow instructions). It was blowing air but it didn’t feel like cool air. Slighter cooler than room temp air but that’s it. So I left for 3.5 hours. Locked the unit in a 12x10 office. And decided to see how it did. Well I just returned and that office feels the same as the rest of the house. I’m sorry. It’s slight better than a fan. But that’s it. ... show more

Works great to help cool our 1 car garage. Perfect size, easy to fill. We bought extra ice packs and use cold water from the refrigerator to extend the cooling time. Just updates from our experience.

This has been the most frustrating experience. I will never buy from this company or any larger items from Amazon again. I have been sent back and forth for 3 months now between Amazon and the manufacturer and all with no resolve. My husband and I use this AC in our living room and it works well to cool the room while we watch TV, read, play computer games and while I knit or crochet.
