I actually purchased this because I needed the 4x4 hoop. At least that's all I thought I needed. However, the tiny hoop is so precious for small embroidery designs or logos. As you can see from the picture the design is very small, having this little hoop was great. I tested all but the largest hoop but I'm sure that will be perfect too.     • Do the Math!
When I bought these, I was actually expecting them to be inferior in weight and construction. So, I was mentally prepared to send them back. Needless to say, I was very concerned about the quality. Once I received them, they actually did look exactly like the originals. The weight, the shape, the connective parts, everything. I was impressed overall. Still not completely convinced though, I knew the true test would be how they performed on the machine. Well, I have since used my original 5x7 and this 5x7 each over 50 times and now I cannot tell which one came with my machine. This is such a better value than what I expected. $80 for a single 5x7 hoop at my local Brother dealer or two sets of four hoops here. This is a no-brainer, do the math. ... show more

These hoops are undistinguishable (to me) from the official Brother brand. I thought I had an issue with the grid, but I figured out that I had not applied the inner hoop with the arrow up, so the grid didn't line up with the center markers on the hoop. Before I figured that out, I sent an email to the manufacturer to ask why the grid had a problem. They have not responded. That is the only reason for four stars instead of five.
