This product does not meet expectations as stated. You can barely feel the air after 3 feet away from it. There is no way it can cool 700 sq feet. I wasted my time setting it up in the garage and it failed miserably. The hose is cheap and kept falling out of the heat vent behind the machine. I received it today July 31, at about 5pm CDT and have processed the return request at 7:15 pm. Wasted 2 hours setting this junk. Hope this saves somebody from wasting time. I will be getting a black and decker portable AC.

This air conditioner probably works good if you mount it in window or wall to the outside. Otherwise on one end the cold air comes out but the other end is totally hot. Unless mounted to outside it’s completely worthless. Also when they say that the remote is 5 feet range, you better believe it. I did have to get up and point it 5 feet or less. Not so much remote. It does have a sleek design, but what the pictures show that you just move it from one room to another, make sure you have a window/door also exhausting to the outside. All I can say it didn’t work out for me, it might for someone else.

The air conditioner itself is great but the ventilation tube is not. Flimsy plastic tabs are all that connect the tubing to the connector for the unit and for the window and they fall off easily.

Im giving this thing 4 stars because the vent that comes with it that goes in the window, and the plastic holder that actually sits in the window that holds the vent are trash. Yes it cools down my living room and works really great. But those two tings are very cheap and flimsy, they need to redesign those parts.

So far so good! Set up was quick. I just can't figure out the drain hose.... 2 drain plugs and one end fits over the bottom nipple but the top plug is just a hole that it doesn't fit in - BUT you pull the plug and water comes out. I have it in a 900 square ft room and while it doesn't make it cold, it is now bearable. And the dehumidifier function is also great. I dumped about a gallon total over an 8 hour day before switching to straight cool. The hose gets hot, the cord does not.

Do not get scammed with 16000 btu. This unit does not have the btu's labeled anywhere in the box, the manual or the unit itself. This unit does NOT have the capacity of cooling 700+ square feet. It is very compact and small and I bought it thinking will be better than my 14000 btu unit that has been labeled as such and is more robust, bigger and better quality than this. For a trailer, camper or small room is good but this is very tiny and ineffective. Don't make the same mistake I made. It is a SCAM! There is plenty of other units better than this one like Rollibot, LG, and others... to finalize, I paid $399.99 (usd) and right after I bought it went down to 329.00 and still not worth it.
