Came with 2 water containers to freeze. Description said there was supposed to be a polymer inside both containers to keep the water frozen longer. There was no polymer. One container did not have a cap. The fan inside is just a typical computer case fan. Even the fan came crooked because it was not mounted inside properly. Overall poor quality. Returning it for probably another round of poor quality was not worth the effort. This is literally just 2 ice containers + computer fan + a housing with 3 power options(fan speed).

I filled the cooling containers with water. By bedtime the packs were not completely frozen but I thought one was frozen enough to try it. I’m so pleased. It really produces cooled air not simply blowing hot air. Yes it needs to be close to you if you want to feel the freshness and that’s exactly the way I’m using it. It’s not too loud but on high if you’re close to it you can hear it. Actually the soft whirring sound soothes my tinnitus. So it’s a win win! Also there was a a bit of condensation that developed on the outside but once it’s been running that dries up quickly. As a precaution I put mine on a small facecloth to protect my table. If it holds up and it’s so simple I suspect it will, I would definitely buy again.

I bought this little unit for my small indoor greenhouse because of all the great reviews. The ice block melted in about 15 minutes and it was just blowing warm air around. I do live in Arizona so in a cooler climate it may work better (thus the 2 stars) but for my needs it was useless.

This supposed portable a/c does not cool. The ice packs do not last more than 30 minutes. It does not blow cold or even cool air. Don't waste your money on this item. You will surely be disappointed.

I live in an apartment with incompetent maintenance and my ac keep freezing over. I live in Houston TX and it gets scorching hot. This little thing keeps my room cool. So I go one for the other rooms in my house too.

The media could not be loaded. I rent out a room and live with 3 other people who are always changing the ac, our room has two windows and is pretty small so it gets hot quick. Especially living in Florida. I’ve looked at tons of portable ac fans and this one caught my eye, especially cause the price. This ac you definitely need to have directly on you to feel the coolness right away and overall does cool the room down a few temps. I like how it comes with two ac packs making it easier to rotate between the two. This fan does not blow hard, you get what you pay for the price so keep that in mind when you see this one vs the 50$ portable fans. I also like how it just cools you off from the ice packs, no mist option which is great living an already humid environment. I’ve only had it for a few days so durability and life expectancy I can’t comment on yet.
