We camp a lot, and as we get older we tend to bring along more items that make things more comfortable, including canopies, and tarps. Between the two of us and our dog on a line, the guy lines holding stuff in place create a lot of problems. Using weights in instead of stake and guy lines makes for far fewer tangles. Before I ordered these, we used nylon bags that can be filled with rocks or a gallon jug to hold our canopy in place. These Water Weights (I'll call them bags) eliminate the need for carrying gallon jugs or hunting around for rocks. These hold over twice as much water, and they take up a little less space then the other bags. They are made of fairly thick PVC, and have a good screw cap. They will take a fair amount of abuse, but I don't think they will last forever. The handle is almost too soft. It's not going to dig into your hand as you carry twenty pounds of water, but they do loose their shape. The bags don't really fold up as much as they scrunch up. They also aren't the best looking things in the world, but for camping.... I am glad I ordered these. Typically I give four stars to products that meet expectations. These are a solid four star product. I recommend them.

This set of four water bag weights works really well. I have a couple of pop-up canopies and have been needing to get some weights for a while. They really do add to the safety of setting the canopy up. Don't have to drive any stakes or use any rope to secure it. These fill up easily with a screw top. They have a carrying handle on top, which worked well, but I carried them with the handle and a hand at the bottom to help preserve the handle, because these do get fairly heavy. I haven't had any issues with leaks, and these are weatherproof. The straps to connect them to the canopy poles are long enough that one weight can be used to connect two canopies. Overall, a really good product, works well, improves safety (especially with wind) and I'm glad I ordered them.

I like these pop up weight bags. They fill and secure to the legs with a good amount of velcro. They also have a hole in the handle that I run some paracord through and loop it through the upper mechanism as a safety in case the bottom of the feet fell off and the velcro failed. Although by that time, we're probably running for the hills anyway. I recommend this product.

The 10l bags are a bit smaller than I was picturing and maybe a bit lighter. To be fair, I haven't tested them in the wind yet, but my instincts are telling me bigger is better. These seem durable and fold down to a reasonable size. Unfortunately, it is winter where I am, so it will be few months before I really field test these and will update my review if needed.
