First, the metal is thin. It will crimp but the metal is soft, your somewhat relying on the shrink side of things and glue to support the crimp. The old 25 pound pull test will not be passed with these. Back to the shrink stuff. Butane torches appear to ignite the material. Thats not reassuring. The spades connect to each other okay but the little detent doesn't do a lot. The upper tab is easily bent, in this install that will help since I will have to temiflex the connection anyway. I install wireless joystick yacht controls and these connectors significantly reduce the amount of splicing I need to do. Very effective time savers! I do find that I have to pinch them to hold the spades at times but that is not even a minor inconvenience give the time ultimately saved. Will continue to use them on my installations! ... show more

Heat shrink is very thick and strong. Also, was able to shrink it down onto a radial lead on a 3 amp fly back diode. Worked perfectly.
