So, I actually ordered these by accident, but after I realized my mistake, I figured I would give them a try. I thought I bought crimp and seal connectors like I always use, but these are a low temp solder that melts with a standard heat gun. I used them last night on a replacement headlight connector in a Silverado and they worked like a charm. Cut the old connector off, installed the solder connection and the new pigtail, mate wires and slide the connector and hit it with a heat gun until the solder melts. EASY. I had my doubts at first because I figured the connector would melt before the solder made a real connection, but they worked like a charm. The connector shrunk nicely around the wire and the colored sealant melted into place and spread out and shortly after, the solder flowed into the wires. pretty slick to be honest. the joint set up and seems to be watertight and a solid connection. good value and I'll be using these more often for sure. The little metal piece melts the wires together, forming a nearly unbreakable bond. A standard ten bucks heat gun (I like the Flower Ocean one) will do the trick. Confidence in wiring is essential! These are real convenient and do a decent job. My only complaint is the soldering them has a high melting point, so sometimes if you're not careful you can burn the plastic on the wire you're working with before the solder melts. So just be wary of that issue.

I really love this product, especially once I get better at twisting the wires correctly so it slides right into it with a good solid connection. The quality is great as well! I used this today for sump pump connections in the basin and used a heat gun to seal the connections. I will definitely buy more of this and highly recommend it! The thickness of the plastic is great and doesn't allow the wire to poke through while heating it up, which is amazing! Highly recommend this product! My only request to the seller is to make a video that shows the wire-twisting step a bit longer and in more detail. It's an amazing product and great value for your money for sure! ... show more

These bud connectors are incredible!!! I first time using them cause my trunk wiring harness broke cause of another shop doing a poor quality repair! With doing wiring repairs i refer soldering is the best method of fixing wiring harness. Having shaky hands it's very difficult for me to do! This all i have to use is a head gun to melt the solder!     • Seal sloder not as good as crimp, especially for small gauge.

Nothing wrong with item but the this method of connecting wires, especially small wire (24-26 gauge) doesn;t seem that secure. There are youtube comparisons with resistance testing etc and it seems wire nuts and crimps is the best. You may need a crimper for 24-26 gauge and get crimps with heat shrink. I might toss these or donate them. ... show more
