  • Great headset...sound quality is perfect!
I really like this headset! I use it for talking with clients & have been really happy with it so far. It fits well & is comfortable even after being on a long conversation, which is important for me because I can sometimes be on calls for quite a while. I don't have that uncomfortable pressure on my ear or side of my head after wearing it for a long time, either. It is also very easy to use...I didn't have to fight with it to get it set up or figure out how to use it, the buttons are obvious, too. The sound quality is good, both for hearing the other person & for them hearing me. I've had no complaints from clients about being able to hear me, so that's always a good sign! Oh & it connects easily to my phone OR my laptop, making it even more functional. For the price, I think this is a really good value. My one complaint is that I really wish the cord had a little clip to attach it to your shirt so it's not flopping around or getting tangled. The cord can move around a bit when I'm using it, so I've been using a clothes pin to clip it to my shirt. Not exactly the most sophisticated solution, but it works! Other than that little issue, I have no complaints. It's comfortable, easy to use, sounds good & has been working really well for the client calls I bought it for. Definitely a good headset for the money! ... show more

  • A very useful tool
I’ve given this headset 4 stars instead of a 5 because, frankly, the instructions for using it are too damned cryptic. I looked for more thorough instructions and couldn’t find them. So, I asked Gemini AI to identify the functions of the inline controller buttons, and I got a complete explanation which I will add to the end of this review. Once I knew what I was doing, the headset worked exactly as intended. I like to get maximum use out of my various devices; so I tried using that nice boom microphone to dictate notes (voice to text transcription), and the results in my Windows laptop were more accurate than I have been getting with the microphone built into the laptop and more accurate than dictation with the mikes in my various headphones. This was a nice bonus. I’m sure the accuracy is due to the nice clarity of the speech transmitted by the boom mike. Of course people on the other end of phone calls experience the same clarity. The sound through the earphone is also nice and clear. Another deficiency in the instructions or user manual is there is no mention there are free Windows and mobile apps to use with the headset, but the headset can be used without the apps. I discovered this while trying to get clear instructions. Here’s the Gemini explanation of the inline controller functions: On your HP Poly Mission 410 headset, those inline controller buttons handle your primary call management functions: 🎙️ Top Button: Microphone Icon Primary Function: Mute / Unmute How it works: Tap this during an active call to mute your microphone so others can't hear you. Tap it again to turn the microphone back on. Indicator Light: Usually turns solid red when your microphone is actively muted. 📞 Middle Button: Telephone Icon Primary Function: Call Control (Answer / End / Redial) How it works: Answer a call: Tap once when receiving an incoming call. End a call: Tap once while on an active call. Redial: Double-tap when you're not on a call to redial the last dialled number. Hold: Press and hold for ~2 seconds during a call to put the caller on hold. 🟦 Bottom Button: Square Icon Primary Function: Microsoft Teams / Custom Action Button How it works: In Microsoft Teams: Tapping this launches/brings Teams to the foreground on your computer or allows you to join a scheduled meeting with one click. Customization: If you install the HP Poly Lens app on your computer, you can remap or customize what this button triggers depending on your preferred communications software. 💡 Side Controls: Don't forget that the side edge of the inline control puck features the + and - buttons to adjust your speaker volume. ... show more

  • Clear Audio, No Dead Batteries. The Perfect Corded Headset!
This Poly HP headset is great and is everything advertised. I chose the single ear option so I could hear other conversations in the room while on Zoom calls, and it works perfectly. I specifically wanted a corded option to avoid getting halfway through a call and finding out the battery is dead. The microphone works well with no audio issues, and my coworkers reported that my audio was clear with no ambient noise. The boom mic is adjustable, making it easy to position at just the right proximity. Additionally, the USB connector includes an adapter so you can use either USB Type-A or Type-C ports. It is very lightweight and comfortable to wear, and the inline controls to mute and unmute work well. Setup was effortless with my Windows computer since it did not require any special software or drivers. Overall, this is a great headset for taking calls, and I highly recommend it for longer meetings. It is a fantastic value that provides high quality, professional audio. ... show more

  • Thrilled to find a headset that works!
I have been thrilled with this headset. My PC at work is so locked down that I’ve had a terrible time finding headsets that work with our software. I can often get sound, but getting sound and the microphone to work together has been tough, so I just stopped looking at some point. But I took a gamble with this set and am so glad I did. It’s comfortable to wear, connects easily, and is well-constructed. Sound quality admittedly isn’t the best, so if you spend all day long talking on the phone, I’m sure there are other options out there. But for occasional phone calls and virtual meetings throughout the day, this headset is light and meets my needs. Although I don’t use all the features on the remote, I enjoy the ability to mute and unmute myself and to adjust the volume—it feels solid and the buttons work nicely. I also appreciate the earpiece. I can’t say it’s a premium earpiece, but it’s held up to wear and doesn’t get nasty like those cheap foam earpieces on cheaper headsets. When it comes to value, your mileage may vary. There may be superior products out there at the same price, but this presents great value for me because it’s one of the few products that I can get to work with my PC. ... show more

  • Lightweight and comfortable. Clear call quality.
This mono headset is comfortable to wear and easy to use. This lightweight headset is comfortable to wear thanks to the leatherette covering on the earpiece, soft silicone material on the temple pad, and no clamping pressure from the headband. The headband is adjustable and each interval clicks into place. It does a good job of staying in place and keeping the headset on your head. It is plug-and-play, so you should be able to use this with any device that accepts USB-A or USB-C connections. For most devices (like laptops or even cell phones), the basic audio functions work (such as hearing audio, recording mic audio, using the volume up/down on the controller, and using the mute button). The other buttons (like the call pick up/hang up button and Teams button) will work if your computer/application supports it. Otherwise, you can download HP’s app to customize the functions of the buttons. The audio quality through the earpiece is clear, and the touted AI noise reduction feature appears to work as callers on the other end say that my mic audio sounds clear and they didn’t hear any background noise. The controller also has lights that will show you whether the mic is muted, etc. When using the headset, you can wear the earpiece on either ear as the microphone conveniently rotates in both directions. In terms of quality, everything is well assembled with some nice soft touch elements and nice tether for the USB-A adapter. The connected cable does not appear to be detachable/replaceable and it doesn’t feel the most durable, but it gets the job done. Overall, this is a nice mono headset if you can use Microsoft Teams, or you can download the app and customize the button for other applications. ... show more

  • On the cheaper end, but still solid
Poly has been making headsets for ages, and now that HP has brought them under their wing, it's been interesting to see what the new products have been. In general, I'd say they're still the Polycom that I've come to expect. Solid quality still, with products you can count on for your business needs. Most of their products, however, have been higher priced, so I was not quite sure what to expect when I saw a $45 headset. I figured I'd give it a try. Yeah, it's nothing super fancy, and doesn't have many of the top spec features like bluetooth. It is nice, however, that is includes an adapter to be able to switch between USB-C and USB-A depending on the port your computer has. For me, I have a Mac Studio, and, thankfully, have more USB-C ports available than USB-A due to some additional docking stations I have. I simply plugged it in via USB-C, and my Mac (running Tahoe 26.6) was able to pick it up without issue. I've been using it off and on with various Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet conferencing meetings, and have yet to have had an issue. Everyone seems to indicate my voice is clear, and, while the headset is only on one ear, it is nice to be able to have the other ear available to hear the environment around you. I wouldn't say the speaker quality is phenomenal, but it's certainly is above average, especially for this price point. Poly's more expensive items are certainly much better, but this will get the job done without issue. The mic location adjusts easily and well, so you can put it up or down towards your mouth to make your speaking easier to understand. The other big advantage here is latency. While Bluetooth continues to get better, it is wireless, and it's always possible to experience some latency. Since you're physically plugged in here, that issue is completely gone. All in all, for $45, HP/Poly has done a pretty solid job. If I had a call center, and have a bunch of people these could be a cost-effective way of decking out my sales floor with good, but quality headsets that just get the job done. ... show more

  • It’s just ok
The sound quality for the speaker and mic are nothing remarkable on this headset. You won’t want to listen to music on it since it’s just one sided and wasn’t tuned for music anyway. The mic is slightly above telephone quality but doesn’t necessarily sound rich or crystal clear. It’s passable and is something that a large company might buy for its employees as a budget headset for Zoom calls. Comfort wise it’s lightweight and not too tight. Durability is questionable since it’s a lot of plastic parts and a thin wire. The volume up button doesn’t click and seems stuck on my unit, and overall everything feels plastic and cheap. It’s an ok value. Not high quality or premium feel. ... show more

  • Clear Sound and Comfortable for Calls!
I really like this headset. The sound quality is very good and voices come through clear and natural, which is exactly what I was looking for. The microphone also does a nice job picking up my voice clearly while helping cut down on background noise. I especially like the single ear design because I can still hear what is going on around me while I’m on a call. It’s lightweight and comfortable to wear for longer periods without feeling bulky or heavy. The adjustable boom mic is easy to position where I need it, and having the inline controls is convenient when I need to quickly adjust something during a call. Another big plus is that it includes both USB C and USB A connectivity, so it gives you more flexibility depending on what computer or device you’re using. It was simple to connect and get going without having to mess around with a complicated setup. The headset itself feels well made, the sound is clear and balanced, and so far I’ve been very happy with its functionality. If you need a comfortable headset for work, meetings, calls, or everyday computer use, I think this is a really nice option. ... show more
