There are countless dry shampoo options available that don’t actually clean your hair. PhD Dry Shampoo was designed to mimic a regular shampoo and the effects of washing your hair, giving you similar results as if you just washed it in the shower. Does it work on all hair types? Yes, it can be used on any hair type. For thicker, coarser hair texture, section more thoroughly. For curly hair, remove powders with a blow dryer (vs. fingers or brush, which will deconstruct the curl). I see white residue. What should I do? White residue that is easy to remove is normal and expected—especially if you have dark hair. To remove the white residue, rub and massage hair with fingers and/or use brush. If white residue still exists, use a blow dryer. What is the fragrance used in Perfect hair Day Dry Shampoo? The fragrance in Perfect hair Day Dry Shampoo is light citrus scent that’s similar to what’s found in most other Living Proof products. Can you layer with other products? Yes, you can use PhD Dry Shampoo on top of hair products you used on damp hair to style (i.e. a styling cream). You can also use it before using products on dry hair to re-touch (i.e. a hairspray or finishing serum).

YES!!!!!! Yes and yes and yes!!! Man this stuff WORKS! Pros: - makes your hair last for days after 1 use - so lightweight feels like nothing was ever put on my hair Cons: - strong smell at first ( does eventually go away) Today is Sunday and I washed my hair last Monday, so it’s been almost 7 full days and I use this dry shampoo on day 3 hair which was on Thursday. ( I like to get ahead of the greasiness that way and use dry shampoo a day before I think my hair will get oily). Let me tell you how I have put this to the TEST. Every single day I use a sauna AND steam room. talk about sweat. I take workout classes daily, I’m outside a lot with my kids (it’s also summer) going on walks, running around, was in an outdoor pool and even though my hair was up it still got wet. By the way all these activities have happened since I washed my hair so I’ve been really testing how long my hair can last. And I’m VERY IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!!! The photos are from today which is the Sunday I was mentioning and it still looks great!! I was using Kevin Murphy before and that was on the heavy side for me because I felt a little gross sleeping with it being on. I will only be using this one it’s just so amazing. I loved my first can of this and reordered a second to have at the ready for when the first one ran out. When I opened the second one I only got one spray out before it stopped working. I tried running it under hot water and using the nozzle from the old can but nothing worked. I was very upset since this is fairly expensive and by this point the return window had closed (not to mention I didn't have any dry shampoo to use!) It occurred to me try and contact Living Proof's customer service and they sent me replacemt can. Knowing that Living Proof will stand behind their products gives me confidence to keep reording even if I might get another dud someday. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this dry shampoo for my normal hair and for my human hair wigs. However, even though it smells extremely nice and fresh, the level of smell can be a little over powering and hit you in the face pretty strong. It's mainly due to the fact that A LOT sprays out at once just by barely pressing down the spray nozzle, and with this (not just because of the price) a little goes a long way. My boyfriend can't stand it. He thinks it smells horrible and doesn't like when I use it. After a couple minutes the strong smell calms down and it's much better, though. As far as taking away oils, I think it works extremely well for both my real hair and my human hair wigs in-between washes. Although this is an extremely pricey bottle for the size you get, it's definitely worth every penny! Plus, like I was lucky enough to come across this last time, it does tend to go on sale quite often. I highly recommend at least trying this once!! ... show more
