I had never ordered a light fixture from Amazon and really wasn't sure we would be happy. This fixture is exactly what we were looking for! I will never say that installing light fixtures are easy but this was relatively pain-free and the results are fantastic! The fixture is flush to the ceiling and the finish is brushed. Both features make this a nice light that doesn't call attention to itself. It provides nice even light in the work area of our kitchen and matches the other fixtures we have in the house. This thing was an absolute pain to install. Nothing lined up properly and the shade is flimsy plastic. It looks cheap, light leaks out from between the fixture and ceiling. You get what you pay for. Also, it looks HUGE in a hallway, more like it belongs in a large room. However, the light it puts out isn't even adequate for a small hallway and would never be for an entire room. Have ordered something different from Home Depot and will be returning this as soon as I can get if off the ceiling. ... show more

This golden light fixture is pretty and fairly robust. We love the rounded design and it was an excellent replacement for the light fixture that we removed. It was easy to install due to its included hardware. Nice for a hallway or small room.
