    • Tripping at 70A loads for any duration exceeding 30 seconds

My my concern with this unit is that the switch gets tripped with any load north of 50A for more than few minutes. When I test with 70A (70% capacity) the breaker trips after about 20-30 seconds. For more context. I have used these breakers directly following my battery connection to protect the battery from drawing more that 100A. I do have a smart Victron BMV shunt attached to my system which allows me to monitor the amps through the circuit. I have 4 100Ah Lithium batteries (equipped with their own 100A BMS) powering a Victron Multiplus inverter/charger. The batteries are connected in parallel to the switches and then to a large 300A 3/8" studs bus bar. Using 2 AWG (short) WNI copper wire from each battery to the bus bar and a 4/0 WNI copper wire to the inverter. My second concern is that the connection terminals are 1/4" studs which seems way way under equipped to handle 100A. Make your own decision about using this in your schematic based on this info please. ... show more
