I purchased the Polar Loop and I'm two weeks in, so far it hasn't disappointed me. I've had polar products for years and the brand does make quality products. My last polar watch, an ignite 3, died on me after an update. Granted, I had had that watch for several years, so it was probably due to be swapped out. I decided to get the polar loop as my watch replacement. I didn't really use the watch part anyway so losing the face wasn't too big of an adjustment. So far, the charge has held very well, and I've only charged it twice in the last two weeks. I am also a very big fan of the band itself. The silicone band that was originally on the ignite 3 was absolutely horrible and caused rashes. I had gotten a leather replacement band for the ignite 3, but even that wasn't the best solution. I love that the polar loop's band is nylon and very adjustable. The fact that I can wear it a little looser makes a big difference. The lignite's band wasn't very adjustable only having a limited amount of holes. Polar's Flow app is wonderful and gives great stats. If I had to critique one issue was I do wish there was a way to tell how much charge is left on the loop without opening the app and only looking at the loop itself. For now, the charge is lasting for a decent amount of time, but when it starts wearing out, not having to look at the app would be ideal. However, it's not enough of a critique to make me want to dock it in the amount of stars at all. I would purchase this item again if needed and I would recommend this item to my family. ... show more

I purchased the Polar Loop about two months ago. At first, it worked reasonably well and did what I expected. Unfortunately, after only a short period of use, it suddenly stopped connecting to my phone. The most frustrating part of this experience has been Amazon's customer support. I contacted Amazon for help, and after spending time going through multiple troubleshooting steps with their representative, the issue remained unresolved. Instead of offering a replacement or a clear path forward, I was told to contact Polar directly. To make matters worse, the contact information Amazon provided was incorrect and routed me to a physical therapy company that had nothing to do with the product. After spending additional time trying to find the correct support channel, I discovered that Polar only accepts support requests through email. I submitted my request and have yet to receive any response. A product failure is disappointing, but poor customer support makes the situation much worse. I expected Amazon to stand behind a product sold on its platform and provide accurate support information. Instead, I've been left with a device that no longer works and no meaningful assistance from either Amazon or the manufacturer. A true gem for training and performances This Polar watch has completely exceeded my expectations; as an active person, I highly value accuracy, and its heart rate sensor is simply flawless, being much more precise than other brands. The sleep and recovery metrics are incredibly detailed, helping me train smart and avoid overtraining, while the battery lasts for days, the GPS connects super fast, and the screen is perfectly readable under direct sunlight. The Polar Flow app is also fantastic for analyzing progress, so if you are looking for a real sports watch and a true health tool, this is absolutely the best investment. ... show more

My quest for an alternative to the Apple Watch continues ... unfortunately, Polar Loop 2 isn't the answer. After wearing it continuously for a week my experience is: it overcounts steps and calories by a lot - it might make you feel good but not helpful if you want an accurate view of your activity. The Polar Flow app isn't great - it only has three general buckets for activity level and i couldn't find a away to set individual targets. Why do all of these apps & devices care so much about sleep? I really don't need a device to tell me how I slept - especially when it's not accurate. It doesn't sync well w Apple Health or support Pedometer Yes, it's comfortable - I didn't mind sleeping with it on unlike the Apple Watch. But it's way too big (and I have a big wrist!) If it was 25% - 50% narrower like the fitbit without the screen I might be inclined to give it more time to see if it could work for me. If you're starting from scratch with a health app or device this might a decent option. ... show more

I’ve had a good experience with the Polar Loop overall. It’s a reliable fitness tracker that does a solid job of monitoring daily activity and heart rate. The hardware is comfortable and dependable, making it a great option for everyday use. My biggest suggestion for improvement is the app. It could be more user-friendly, with a smoother interface and easier navigation. I’d also love to see better compatibility with Garmin devices and other heart rate monitors so data syncs more accurately across different platforms. Improving integration and expanding app features would make an already good fitness tracker even better. Overall, I think the Polar Loop is a quality product, and with a few software and app updates, it could be an excellent choice for even more users. ... show more

I’ve tried the Whoop (I liked it but it isn’t worth the annual “membership”) and the Amazfit Helios (cheap but it was way too big and the constant notifications to look at stats that’s only available to paid subscribers got old). I used Polar watches in the 2010s and tried a Vantage during covid so I ignored the negative reviews and decided to give this a try. First the good: it’s the best looking wearable I’ve seen, the top is made of a sort of brushed metal (or a good facsimile) so it feels and looks great compared to all the plastic trackers that all the others use. It’s also very comfortable, Polar did an excellent job with the stretchy fabric. I rarely realized I was wearing it, and when they say quick dry, they actually mean it. I forgot to take it off for a shower once and I was dreading having to deal with the soggy feeling but it was never uncomfortable and it was dry to the touch within 5 mins or so. The daily tracking worked just fine, like all of my previous Polar watches. HR tracking and intensity seemed accurate to me, but it was only put through daily activities without any heavy lifting. Now the bad: sleep tracking just DOES.NOT.WORK. I tried everything Polar support suggested but I never once got the sleep tracking to work. If I guesstimated my sleep hours, it would generate a report based on the length of sleep but i can use any wearable if all I wanted it to tell me was you only slept 5 hours, you’re a terrible sleeper. Thinking it was a band issue, I asked Amazon for a replacement which they promptly send overnight. Second one had the exact same problem with sleep except the reset worked! I got about 4-5 nights of sleep tracking before it stopped working again. When it worked, the results matched with how I felt and was consistent with my Oura ring, so there’s that. But all good things must come to an end, and the sleep tracking just stopped. I tried another reset, but for some reason, the app said the Loop finished syncing while simultaneously saying that the sync failed. 🤔🤬 after some digging, I realized that the reset caused the app to think both Loops were being used (see photos), so it would sync with one and then fail the sync bc the other one wasn’t working (because I sent it back to Amazon!). Unbelievable! Needless to say, I packed up the replacement loop and requested a refund this time. If Polar survives long enough to make a 3rd gen Loop, I may try that, but until then, I guess I’m left with my AW or my Garmin. I don’t want to try the Fitbit air and the Cirqa looks even bigger than the Helios. ... show more
