  • Don’t settle for less when your life depends on it!
Color: Uranium Black/Hydrogen White Size: X-Large/XX-Large
Saved my life!!! Broke my neck, arm and shattered my ego, but would be dead if I had a lesser helmet on. Slight brain bleed and concussion, but huge impact on steel railing! POC customer for life and buying new POC helmets for all my friends who ride. Thank you POC!!!

  • Light and breeeeeezy
Color: Hydrogen White/Uranium Black Size: Medium/Large
This helmet has surpassed my expectations. I was using a bell super 2r and that was a good helmet. However, i had to replace it after a heavy crash. I’m glad I chose the POC as my half lid, it is so light and fit my head really well. My head does not feel like it will overheat in the hot california weather. The chin strap is so easy to adjust the rear fit adjustment wheel too. For me, this helmet is convenient and it looks really nice too. It is pricey but, I’d like to think protecting my head is worth it. Other helmets to check out if the design of this helmet is not your cup of tea is the fox metah, giro chronicle and bell sixer. Well, what are you waiting for. Get that helmet and keep on riding. ... show more

  • Spin = Snake Oil
Color: Uranium Black/Hydrogen White Size: Medium/Large
This is only a review of the "Spin" pads. The Tectal is a great helmet in general, and I have another one. However, I think the Spin pads are a gimmick. I bought this one for the extra protection because I like the Tectal so much, but sent it back immediately. I tried pressing it with varying pressure and moving it on my head in various ways and compared it to my existing helmet. Both helmets moved on my head identically - in other words they moved the same amount on my skull when pressed against my head -- and this is coming from someone who fits in the Tectal very well head shape wise. The hair and scalp slip far more than the Spin pads or regular pads for that matter, and I honestly don't see how this would offer any additional rotational protection in a real world impact. The pads are pretty thin, do not cover much of the scalp, do not cover the back of the head at all, and as I said they don't seem to move any more than the regular pads when pressed against my head in different directions. Just a way to make more money in my opinion. I would avoid and just get the regular Tectal (which, again is a great helmet and checks the boxes otherwise for safety and comfort). I'm glad new technologies are being explored, but I think there needs to be more openness about testing and actual data, not just clever youtube videos. Otherwise the technology is not going to truly progress in the market and people will continue to spend more money without really understanding why with a false sense of security. In my book Spin and MIPS are both gimmicks and I've tried both. I'm still on the lookout for new technologies and will continue to explore though -- but not going to pull the trigger again until I see more data and testing, not just videos and slogans. ... show more

  • Great helmet
Color: Uranium Black/Hydrogen White Size: Medium/Large
I was reluctant to spend this much money on a helmet, but I'm glad I did. It's very comfortable and the tightening mechanism is fantastic. I have no complaints and will purchase another as a backup.

  • Looks dope and ridiculously well vented. Wear a layer under if it’s really cold out.
Color: Uranium Black/Hydrogen White Size: Medium/Large
Super comfortable and vents very well. Rode in WA and frankly it was a bit cold if anything. Airflow is that noticeable. Also looks just as great in person as it does online, with the nicest feature being the lack of a yellow mips layer. The Spin pads are noticeably different than normal pads and also absorb sweat quite well. ... show more
