I'm currently running Folding@home and it is 45°C with an 80% GPU load and the fans are running at 30%. Very quiet! When I initially installed it the fans were running too fast and too loud so I adjusted a setting in my motherboard so the fan speed was based on the GPU temperature. (I have an ancient MSI X299 TOMAHAWK motherboard.) I just started to play Cyberpunk 2077 again and because I installed a ton of mods, my old 2080 card was straining badly in the past. I play games and edit videos for YouTube. I wanted to upgrade my graphics card, but didn't want to overhaul my whole system as i have a 750w psu. Previously, i had a 3080. For those in similar situations as me, i find 750w is perfect. Keep in mind, you will need to get an extra cable if you are using an sfx 750w psu like i am. i use the corsair gen 5 12vhpwr 600w cable and have had no problems for a few months now. I pair this 4090 with a 5950x cpu. At 1440p, i get high framerates (130+) on graphic intensive games like ARK survival evolved. Additionally, my temps are low (45 degrees) which makes for a very quiet gpu. I have yet to fame at 4k, but the quiet noise paired with way higher fps already makes it worth it for me. No game has struggled whatsoever. The main usage for me is editing. As for video editing, i use davinci resolve and render times are unbelievably fast. I notice an increase in timeline performance. The price is high, but this is definitely not just a consumer level product. Keep in mind what your own uses will be. ... show more

**********IMPORTANT********* I strongly advise pairing this with a vertical GPU stand or a GPU support bracket as it is a heavy boy and it is prone to cracking over time. Look up GPU mount cracking repairs. This isn't inherently a problem from PNY or NVIDIA but more of a practical problem with how PC's are setup with a 5lb gpu hanging off of the motherboard. Aside from that it handles everything I throw at it, doesn't get hot, and power consumption is good. I have 7 30mm fans in my mid-ATX case that keep air flow moving and it works great. I would advise putting this into a FULL tower if you're not comfortable with tight squeezes like my mid-size case. I have it paired with 32GB DDR5, an i5-12600k, and an ASUS Prime Z690-P. It's a great setup that I use for gaming, rendering, 3D animation/art, video editing. The only constraint is my processor which I could get more but as of right now it runs everything at ultra at 150+ fps (Raytracing and DLSS3) which is fine for my needs. ... show more

This GPU is best value for gaming, still fast enough with 70% power limit, even using in a PCIE-3 old motherboard. Happy to upgrade from old RX470 GPU bought long time ago. The GPU is cook and quiet, did not hear any coil whine so far.

    • PNY is a BAD company! Product failed! PNY would not honor warranty.

I will never buy anything from PNY again after the horrible customer service situation I've dealt with. I purchased the 4090 and then the video card stopped working two years and eight months into its operation I tried to do a warranty claim and then PNY would not honor the 3 year warranty. PNY said my serial number sticker was not the correct type of sticker, which was the only serial number sticker that came on the device. I contacted Amazon to help me out and to assist me to communicate with PNY. PNY would not budge. I then told them that I was about to start legal action in the situation and PNY didn't care at all. They then ceased all communication and stone-walled me. Then Amazon came to the rescue. I love Amazon. I will use Amazon for the rest of my life! But now I am never ever going to buy anything from PNY ever again. Not even a thumb drive. Especially not something that's this expensive and important. Don't buy PNY products! ... show more

Works fully as intended. Ran cinebench and other benchmark testers and got normal or above average scores for the 4090. One of the cheapest 4090 at the time of buying at 1850$. Only issue was that it did not come with a support bracket in my box. So I had to buy one. Excellent card so far. Bought and Shipped from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller. Bought at MSRP prices. I won't belabor the point but the card is a beast. Coming from a 3080ti it feels like a big step up, it runs 15c cooler than the 3080ti and pretty much 1/3 to doubles my FPS in games. The games are Battlefield 1, Battlefield 5, Battlefield 2042, Warzone 2, and my favorite survival game Day Z. At idle it runs 38c with no fans on the card running and completely silent, and gaming it tops at 64-65c with fans running at 1200rpm/55% and it's still quiet. Time Spy gives me a 35,660 graphics score. Nice. I will update this review if my experience changes. ... show more
