    • No warranty support from PNY
I purchased this card as an upgrade and have had issues within the first month of use. I was not able to isolate the issues for a while as they were random occurrences and I was not sure if they were Ram or some other component at first. I have never overclocked a video card, or CPU for that matter. I used it straight from the box with the latest Nvidia drivers from their website. In my second month of use I started getting "artifacts" randomly popping up on the screen and the game I play daily was crashing to the desktop with no warning whatsoever. At this point I decided to put my old card back in the system and it ran fine for a week. Put the PNY back in and right away the old issues came back. At this point I contacted PNY support...or at least tried to. I have sent a few emails now and it has been almost a month since my first email. Not a single response back. What is the point of a warranty if you cannot get hold of anyone to fix the issues? I cannot recommend this company at all and will be telling anyone who will listen to not purchase any of their products if they will not honor warranties or even make an attempt at contacting customers back. Love it. Got a great price on it and it runs like a dream. My old graphics cards would run so loud it may have given me mild hearing damage, and that was just on medium graphics. I can now max out the graphical settings on every game I own and the fans are completely silent. I’ve been looking for ways to really push the card to its limits but I have not found any game graphics this card cannot easily handle. It was super easy to install, just make sure you computer case is big enough for it, this card barely fit in my computers case. The pictures of the product do not do a good job showing how big it is, so just a heads up. 10/10 recommend it. ... show more

Great card! Awesome jump from a 960. However, it's unfortunate cryptocurrency popularity has caused a price surge. Over $400? Crazy ! The card was $249 when I bought it in 2016. Wish I would have gotten the 1080

    • Two Defective Cards and No Warranty due to third party seller (even through Amazon)
Size: 3GB Single Fan
PNY GeForce GTX 1060 3GB. LOTS to go over here, so stay with me. I bought the card through and fulfilled by Amazon but via a third party seller. Because the reseller is not an authorized seller by PNY, there IS NO 1 year warranty. This is explicitly written out in the PNY warranty. So, if your card dies one day after the return window via Amazon, you have a $220 paper weight. NO WHERE on the product page does it state this very important information. Why would any of us think that by buying a product that is fulfilled by Amazon, we wouldn't have a manufacturers' warranty with it? Amazon should be ashamed of such a practice and correct the issue immediately. Now on to the card itself. Received the first card and it worked fine for a week, then my computer would shut off suddenly and restart. I thought maybe a heat issue. But even with more ventilation and turning the power demand and performance down using VelocityX (PNY's overclock utility), the restarts not only persisted, but got more frequent. Finally the core clock locked at 139 mhz and it was done. I contacted PNY for advise, and the CSR did everything in his power to deny my replacement claim and made me jump through lots of hoops to finally get an authorizing to return. Then he noticed I was still under the Amazon return policy. He told me do that and order a new card. Much faster. Otherwise, I would have to send it in to them for testing first and then a repair/replacement would follow. OK, got my 2nd card. The same behavior started, but this time is was after the return window. The 2nd card core clock is stuck at it's idle speed of 137mhz like the first one. I wrote to the same CSR, but this time was told that since the reseller is not an authorized reseller, the warranty is void. So, now I'm out $220 because I would never have imagined Amazon would sell a non-warranty product without a clear warning displayed on the page. Nor can I understand what PNY is doing either. I have a theory, which is all conjecture mind you, but follow this. If PNY knows they have bad chips in some series of cards, they sell them off to third parties and boom, no warranty. They wash their hands of them. Any way, even if I'm just SUPER unlucky to get two cards in a row that failed the same way, PNY will not stand behind them at all. There may be developments to come, and I will be sure to update this if they do. You all have been warned. I'll be posting my story on gaming sites and Reddit as well to get the word out about this deceptive practice. ... show more
