This is a great collar with a more than suitable ability to adjust to the right size. The generous range means you won’t have to return it for another size. It’s easy to use and remove. These collars are much nicer than a traditional all metal “choke collar.” You can guide your dog and train them effectively without hurting them. I love the different colors to choose from. Our female sweetie looks great in pink!

Finally, I've found a martingale that fits my dogs neck! However, I had to extend it to the maximum length, including shoving the label under this adjustment buckle, to maximize the length, which probably wasn't intended to be done... so it works, but zero room left over! I would really love to see this collar lengthened by about an inch, to give a little more room for adjustment. This collar is certainly sturdy enough for a small to medium dog. The material quality, hardware, and workmanship appear to be good, and the price is reasonable. I like the width of the small size collar, many I looked at are wider, which is too much on a smaller dogs neck. I also like the weight of the chain, slightly heavy, as it makes the chain drop easily after releasing a light correction. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Heavy for a small dog. It as made well, but weighs more than I would like for my 17 pound dog. I use it along with a harness since my dog is a harness Houdini. The collar is attached to the harness so if she slips out of the harness then the collar will tighten around her neck to prevent escaping. If it wasn’t so heavy I would give it 5 stars. The chain doesn’t need to be so thick for a small dog.

My min-pin mini Dox mix dog is a true HOUDINI. All the many other collars and harnesses bought HE CAN GET OUT OF. Not this beautifully made, very sturdy collar! Chuck looks so handsome in this comfortable and surprisingly reflective collar and he doesn't even try to get out of it! These MARTINGALE STYLE COLLARS NEVER CHOKE A DOG TO CONTROL THEM AND NEVER CATCH AND HOLD. They are a very safe collar. And they are such a great buy for something I shopped all over for. This collar looks great, works (safely)great, and the price just can't be beat plus all dogs love this style.

I ordered a large and couldn't keep it on my dog. Beagle and pit. I am sure I didn't understand how to use it. I was hopeful it would help in training not to pull but I ended up sending one back and giving 2nd to my sons great dane

It is comfortable to use, it does not choke unless the dog pulls. It looks and feels good quality, it's really worth the price. It is made of good materials and looks like it will last a long time. Being a combination of strap and chain, it is very easy to make it fit well and comfortable for the dog. Also, since the sliding part is made of a chain, it makes it easier and faster to tighten and loosen, which means that it does not stay tight after a pull and the dog coughs or chokes. I had one that was just a strap but I didn't like that at all. With this I am comfortable and confident about the safety and health of my dog. It works perfectly.
