Features

  • WHIMSICAL MOOSE DESIGN: Brings the spirit of the Northwoods to your home or cabin. This Moose Steamer adds a charming touch to your wood-burning stove, making it a great conversation piece. By placing it on your stovetop and filling it with water, it releases steam through the moose's nostrils, providing humidity to the surrounding environment.
  • HEAVY CAST IRON - Durable, long-lasting steamer retains heat and withstands high temperatures even if empty. Mad of high-quality Cast iron with a porcelain enamel finish.
  • MOISTURIZES & HUMIDIFIES - Healthy steam puffs out the moose's nostrils to make winter air more comfortable
  • LARGE CAPACITY - Top-filling pot with removable lid holds 2-3/4 quarts of water; add potpourri for aromatherapy
  • CARE & CLEANING - You can season your steamer just like a cast iron skillet. Wipe the entire steamer with food-grade vegetable oil that has a high smoking point. Place it in a 400 degree oven for 30-60 minutes. Cool Completely. Repeat as needed. Wash with warm soapy water and a soft-brush. Rinse and dry thoroughly before storage. Keep in a cool, dry place with the lid off. Place 2-3 paper towels inside to help absorb any moisture/humidity that may accumulate

  • Happy Little Moose
The media could not be loaded. Very well made out of cast iron. I coated it lightly with oil before I used it and seasoned it in the oven. It is already coated with something so it is probably not needed. It works as advertised and everyone who sees it wants one. He is a happy little moose and looks at home on the stove. Clean it between uses every now and then to keep it from getting rusty and make sure to refill with water. That's all you need to do. ... show more

  • The Size
Be sure to check the size. It was too big for the top 0f my stove. Other then that I loved it.

  • Great Customer Service
Bought this and after sitting on my wood stove for 3 days the seam starting coming apart. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement immediately free of charge. The replacement one seems to be holding up.

  • Larger than expected
We have a large stove and this moose is a commanding presence over it. Check the dimensions, it's big. That being said the moose is super cool for the cabin and it does a great job of adding some humidity in the winter. Also holds about a gallon of water so we're not refilling it all the time

  • This is what this product looked like after a few months use
Love the moose steamer… but quality is not good!!!! Literally splitting apart all over.. we even used a cast iron spacer in between stove and moose.. tried to reach out to seller after we bought it and it listed item as “no longer available” yet here it is again..

  • The welded seam is dissappointing.
It's a good product overall. pros: it's cast with good quality cast iron, and it shows. the powder coating is good quality (out of the box - don't know if it'll stand up) cons: the lid (moose) is not a single casting. It's two casting that are welded together (second photo), so there is a big ugly seam right down the middle of the moose. It's particularly ugly as it goes down the nose (first photo). It's distracting enough that I'm going to braze it up, sand it back and give it another powder coat - which is a lot of work. It probably won't bother most people and it is a good product overall but I figured that it's best to inform others if you're in the "small details matter" camp like I am. ... show more

  • A Handsome Dude
This is a handsome looking cast iron moose. Looks great on our wood burning stove. Puts our steam from it's mouth when the fire gets going. Only downfall is white lime marks have formed along the seam where the two pieces of cast iron are fused.
