This is one of those too good too be true scenarios. No one likes brushing their dog's teeth, but a powder added to the food seems like a great and magic solution. I see no way that this could work. Yes, it's easy and it may actually have some nutritional value, but until I see the research, I just don't buy that it can make a difference in how clean my dog's teeth are. I don't believe that the dental chews work either and many of the increasingly common claims made for dog products. I tried this and my dogs will eat it, but my anecdotal report basically means nothing and there is no way I could see a difference in their teeth with one container of this. My vet doesn't believe it either.

First, I need to say that I had my dog's teeth cleaned professionally as they were that bad. I noticed after about a month, there was a smell again, even though I do brush my dog's teeth (but not as often as I should). This was when I started using the dental powder. The smell is gone and it does not appear that the plaque is building on the teeth. Also, I need to use a slow feeder so I am careful to spread the powder across the top of the food, to minimize how much may fall to the bottom of the bowl.

I have a senior dog that I started taking care of after my grandmother passed away and she will try to bite me & not allow me to brush her teeth at all so this is a great alternative to brushing her teeth. I also use this for my big Goldendoodle. It comes with a little scoop for proper dosing depending on the size of the dog. I can see this being cost effective for use with my little dog who is 7 lbs but not so much for my big 70 lb dog.

I was not impressed with how little product you get for the price. I have a small dog, so the amount to use daily is minimal. It does no good when she refuses to eat her food once this is applied. I was hoping to cut back on brushing, but this is not the answer for her. I have heard great results from some, but not if they’re picky eaters.

I do not use toothbrushes to clean my dogs teeth, I use additives to their food to do this. Especially these type of powders with natural ingredients, let me tell you they DO work. They don't work overnight, it takes some time to get years of plaque off your dog's teeth, if your dog has severe plaque it could take awhile! This has improved the plaque buildup on their teeth as well as improved their breath. My dogs seem to like the taste and eat it with no issues. I included a image of the ingredients so pet parents can be sure there are no allergens in the powder. Overall, this should be a healthy addition to your dogs diet.
