This kettle does a great job of boiling water quickly. My last kettle from a different company barely got water to the boiling point before automatically shutting of. This kettle, however, brings the water to a full rolling boil so your coffee is going to be piping hot. So far, this is a great kettle!

Good value kettle. I have not tested the accuracy of the below-boiling settings, but the kettle reaches boiling in a normal amount of time and quieter than my previous cheap kettle. The controls are intuitive enough to figure out, so any negative reviews about the controls shouldn't stop you. My biggest critique is the spout isn't a great shape, so pouring isn't super smooth. Overall, you're not going to get much better than this without spending a good amount more

I bought this to replace the Hamilton Beach K-60 kettle I've used multiple times daily for the last 7 years. (That one just started acting up, but might actually just need the contacts cleaned with alcohol swabs.) This Plaman kettle works perfectly! If the inside bottom of your kettle looks tarnished, speckled, or imperfect you have only your water to blame. Try boiling a couple of tablespoons of TAP water in ANY vessel. You will always see the residue of the crap that's in tap. I've always used purified water and - as proven by my 7-year-old kettle - the inside still looks as shiny as the day I bought it. If you choose not to use purified or spring water, just boil your kettle with diluted white vinegar once a week and that should keep stains at bay. I got really used to the temperature settings on my old kettle, which is why I duplicated that feature with this one. I also like that this one has a flip lid, as opposed to my old kettle which had a removable lid. I used to have to make sure to lay the lid down on a clean towel while I was refilling and then replace it. I got my Plaman kettle with the black accent because I wasn't sure how dull/bright/true the offered colors were going to be, but I really love how many color choices there are. I'm very pleased!

This kettle is fantastic. This one replaces a version of the same kettle that was originally produced under a different product name and company name. I kept using my old kettle for a long time even after the lid broke just because I love it so much. Of course, it became to annoying to keep using. I finally found this kettle: It is the same kettle as my old one except this new one has a capacity of 7 cups, whereas the original had a capacity of 8 cups. In actuality, the smaller capacity makes the kettle easier to handle and makes heating time faster as it's less water. The kettle has several heating levels, which are perfect for different types of teas. The Keep Warm function is also handy when needing to have a set amount of water ready at a set temperature. I'm considering buying another one of these kettles to keep on hand for whenever in the future this kettle ceases working (nothing lasts forever). Why? Because I do not want to ever be without the functionality of this kettle.
