  • Good small brush
I am a pizza, junkie, and typically spend at least one weekend a month, making Neapolitan style pizzas on our gas ooni. Because of this, I collect a huge amount of pizza accessories. I already have a large industrial style oven brush, it is very large, and is slowly starting to burn away because it is made of wood I picked up the small oven brush as a potential alternative to have on hand when making pizzas From a design perspective, this brush has a lot of things for it. The brush is small and maneuverable, which is very handy on a constrained oven size like most modern personal pizza ovens. There is a small bladed scraper at the end of the brush which is handy for loosening up cheese, spills, and other stuck on items. The bristles are a brass type wire. The bristles are a bit softer than my main oven brush, and they look as if they will stay in place. For those that don’t know, the biggest risk with oven brushes is that a bristle can become loose and potentially lodged in food, causing untold horrors, when ingested. One other benefit of this brush is that the bristle portion is steel rather than wood. My current brush starts shouldering and burning in about 10 seconds when my oven is at full blast, so a brush made mostly of metal is a plus. The negative for me is that the handle is way too short! It’s a threaded broomstick style rod that’s only about a foot in length, and that puts my skin way too close to the burning oven heat, so I will replace it with a much longer handle soon. ... show more

  • Perfect for our pizza oven
We’ve got a rotisserie style Blackstone pizza oven that we love, but it does occasionally get toppings burnt on the stone during baking as well as the caputo floor that’s always on the peel when we put the pizzas in the oven. Not a huge deal when this happens but the burnt part typically ends up on the next pizza that goes in the oven so not great tasting. We try to clean it between pizzas but out normal grill brushes just don’t work super well with shorter handles and angled heads. This brush however is perfect as it has a long handle, scraper and long brush section. It allows us to not only brush the entire surface with the brass bristles but also scrape off any stuck on bits. The brush itself is made of two parts that attach securely together. The steel scraper head and brush section and the wooden handle. The brass bristles are attached to the handle in what seems to be a secure wooden mounting block. Pay close attention when using this and any metal bristle brush on an active cooking surface as a loose bristle if consumed would ruin an anyone’s day. Thus, carefully inspect your cooking surface after brushing. Overall this is a must have if you’ve got a small pizza oven like the Uni, Blackstone or other single unit pizza oven that has a small opening and stone. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice Pizza Stone Brush
If you love making homemade pizza as much as we do, then you are constantly trying to find the best way to clean your pizza stone. Most brushes are too abrasive, which can easily ruin your pizza stone, while others aren’t strong enough and don’t seem to do a great job when it comes to clean-up. However, I have found that the Manucode pizza stone brush does a pretty good job. It has a total of three rows of brass bristles, a small scrapper as well as a nice long wooden handle. The length of the handle is key because it allows you to get a firm grip with both hands. This provides plenty of leverage and allows you to put the desired pressure you need to work on those stubborn areas. The scrapper does do a good job at removing those large caked on spots. WARNING!! When you use the scrapper, it does produce an ear piercing sound similar to that of nails on a chalk board. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable. If you can tolerate it long enough, then you are that much closer to getting your pizza stone back in tip top shape. I have used this brush a few times since getting it and each time I am finding that the pizza stone is looking a little better each time. The brass bristles have held up well. They are not fraying, falling out or bending in all different directions. Additinally, the handle and the scrapper have remained tight and don’t show any signs of wear or damage. With all of that being said I think the more pressure you can apply, coupled with the right amount of time spent cleaning will get you the best overall results. ... show more

  • Sturdy and convenient!
For the past few years we've been making our own pizza, and used a short, wire grill brush to clean the stone, but that didn't really help too much if we had a mishap occurred while the stone was hot and in progress of pizza making. Needless to say, we've learned from our ways and we still have an occasional slip, where a pizza has gone too far with our Ooni. I bet this could've helped clean our pizza stone a little more safer and quicker than said standard, short grill brush, and random grill tools we can scrounge up! The tool is nicely constructed and sturdy, made of a wood handle, angled scraper, with a solid metal. It's nice they included an extra screw, in case for any reason that went loose, but I don't feel like it's going anywhere. I also appreciate the long thread on the handle, where you join the handle and brush/scraper, it helps with a little bit of stability in handling everything and I believe it won't unscrew itself either and fall off. The brass bristles are not too soft, or flimsy, and have no doubt that they won't be effective in helping keep our pizza stone in good condition. I know a few people this could definitely be useful for, and would gladly buy more as gifts! ... show more
