  • Excellent Quality & Price!!

  • Strong performance, outstanding value
Team Name: Casting Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
This 7 ft. Medium power Fast action casting rod is an exceptional rod for the price. The 2-piece matte grey blank feels light and crisp, and is a joy to cast. The overall quality of materials and construction is excellent. There are 10 guides including the tip, which is excellent for a 7 ft. casting rod. The Zirconium Oxide guides rings should provide excellent durability with braided line. The thread wraps are neat and well executed. The ferrule is solid with visible alignment dots. The reel seat and EVA grips are well designed and comfortable. Also, the rod looks great with its neon blue accents. For the price, I can't fault this rod. If you're looking for a super affordable rod that fishes well above its price, you won't be disappointed with this one. Note: I tested this rod with the new Piscifun Alloy M casting reel and found the combination to be outstanding.....I look forward to spending lots of time with this rig. ... show more

  • A Good Everyday Fishing Rod
Team Name: Spinning Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
I got this for some casual fishing trips and wanted something that would be easy to handle and not take up a ton of space when I’m not using it. It’s been pretty straightforward so far. The two-piece design makes storing it much easier, and putting it together before heading out only takes a minute. I like how light it feels in my hands, especially when I’m casting for a while. The grip is comfortable and the rod feels solid without being bulky. It’s also nice having something that doesn’t require much messing around before using it. My only small complaint is that with a two-piece rod, I make sure the sections are connected properly before every trip. That’s just part of using this style, but it’s worth remembering. Overall, I think it’s been worth the value. It does what I need, feels comfortable to use, and hasn’t added any extra hassle to my fishing trips. ... show more

  • Great blank!
Team Name: Spinning Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
I’ve spent quite a bit of time fishing with this rod, and it has honestly impressed me. It’s lightweight, balances well, and is comfortable enough to fish with for hours without wearing out your wrist. The sensitivity is better than I expected at this price point. I’ve used it for finesse techniques like weightless worms and small swimbaits, and it’s done a great job with subtle bites while still having enough backbone to handle a good fish once it’s hooked. The blank has a nice, crisp feel, and the guides and reel seat have held up well after plenty of trips to the lake. It doesn’t feel like a “budget” rod when you’re actually using it. If you’re looking for a solid spinning rod without spending a fortune, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It’s become one of the rods I find myself reaching for most often. ... show more

  • A very nice, light rod
Team Name: Casting Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
There are many options to choose from with this rod. I got the 7' Medium Fast Action Casting. For the most part I'm very impressed with the quality of this rod for the price. It represents a good value if you get the action right for the fishing you do. I just realized that reviewing a rod is tough. Everyone who fishes has their own opinion on what makes a good rod based on the fishing they do. Perhaps comparing this one to a more commonly available one will help, so people may possibly compare something similar in person. Out of the 20+ rods I own, the Ugly Stick Carbon Inshore comes closest. It is a 7' Medium Extra Fast Action rod, but with a price about 75% higher. Here are the comparisons: 1. Stiffness/action: Both feel about the same. I cannot tell a difference. 2. Specifications: This rod specs 8-12 lb. line, casting a 1/4 - 5/8 oz. lure. The Ugly specs 10-17 mono and 10-30 braid, with a 1/4 - 1 ounce lure. In my opinion both of these specs are light, and the Pascifun specs are insanely light. I currently have 40 lb. braid on the Ugly Stick, and it casts 1 1/2 ounces beautifully. I can't imagine trying to cast a 1/4 ounce jig with the Piscifun, and 8 lb. line is just silly. I would suggest 3/4 ounce to 1 1/2 ounce with 30lb. braid or better. 3. Weight/balance: The Piscifun rod weighs 5.2 ounces on my scale. That is light. The Ugly is a full ounce heavier. With a Shimano Curado 200 attached, the balance point is about 1 1/2" ahead of the reel. That's better than the Ugly, which is 2" or so. 3. Guides: The Piscifun has 9 guides compared to the Ugly's 8. More is better. The Piscifun has what I would call micro guides, with the last five guides having an inner diameter of approx. 1/8". Whether that's good or bad is your call -- opinions vary. 4. Construction/appearance: Overall very nice. I like the unique reel seat and the blue accent threads where they are used. I'd prefer that all the guides have them, but at this price point I understand why they don't. The epoxy around the guides is thick and smooth. The long ferrule is a nice touch and appears strong. Extra points for the dots to line up the halves of the rod when assembling. Overall, comparing this rod to one costing 75% more, I'd choose this one every day even if the prices were closer. If you're considering one, I suggest buying one lighter than you may expect. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Sensitive Fishing Rod
Team Name: Spinning Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
I ordered this Piscifun Torrent Lite fishing rod. It arrived quickly and well packaged in a sturdy tube. I am impressed with the overall quality. I am not a professional, just go to local lakes and ponds for fun with the kids. This is lightweight yet sturdy to use. It has a sensitive tip that makes it easy to detect subtle bites, yet there’s still plenty of strength for fish that fight back. The guides are well aligned, the handle is comfortable, and the two-piece design makes it easy to transport. It’s really nice that it includes an extra replacement tip section, which adds value and peace of mind if the rod tips get damaged. I would definitely recommend this! ... show more

  • Nice rod
Team Name: Spinning Size: 7'0''-Medium-F
I’m completely new to fishing, so I can’t compare this rod to a lot of others, but my first impression has been very positive. It feels lightweight without seeming flimsy, and the handle is comfortable to hold. The two-piece design also makes it much easier to transport and store than I expected. Assembly was simple, the sections fit together securely, and the guides appear straight and well made. I also appreciate that it includes an extra tip section, since that gives a beginner like me some peace of mind in case one gets damaged. I’ve only used it casually so far, but it casts smoothly and feels responsive enough that I can tell what’s happening with the line. Overall, it seems like a solid, beginner-friendly fishing rod with good quality for the price. ... show more
