    • It Only Lasted 4 Years
It was cool while it lasted. I thought the Wi-Fi was pointless but it still did what I needed it to do. I just can't believe I spent so much for it to only last 4 years. Now all it does is freeze and glitch when you turn the car on. Not even a hard reset of the unit worked. And I think it is causing my car to cut off. I don't know. I am about to purchase a cheaper unit. But for it to last only 4 years is not worth a high rating to me. ... show more

** updating my review, as of 1/10/2022, It has stopped working, it keeps rebooting and shutting off. I don’t know how to fix this. Will try contacting seller. I love it when it works, hope they can help me troubleshoot. Really love this product and I am happy I paid extra for the newer model/version. Love the features and easy to use and figure out the options. Back up camera isn’t the greatest so we put it as the front camera. Wish I would have bought this sooner for my Jeep Wrangler 2017. ... show more

    • Terrible execution, lousy Android Auto experience
I’ve used a few Pioneers in my day, and this is one of the worst ever. From the top, the touchscreen is super slow to respond, if it does at all. And once it does, you often end up pressing something other than what you intended. Calibration is a joke. The screen does, thankfully, tilt upward if your deck is low in the car, but it only has a few customizable points. HD radio reception is pretty poor with given antenna. This split port business with Apple only working on one USB port and Android working only on port two is pathetic. Screen is detachable but such a PITA to get it back on that it’s not worth the time. My deck is recessed about ¼ inches in the dash and it’s rather hard to line up. Android Auto is a whole different slew of problems. This deck insists on using wireless Android Auto, which does not play well with my S8 plus. Even if I tell it to forget the wifi network that the deck adds to your phone (without permission), it will come back and try to use it. I keep getting errors that the connection is not strong enough even with the phone 1 inch away from the deck. Checked for firmware updates but no such luck for this model. RIP. Avoid and go with a capacitive touch screen of another brand. ... show more

All that was in the box was the stereo and wire harness. It was missing the back up camera, mic and magnet holder. I didn’t receive what I paid for.

    • DONT BUY!!!!!! Pioneer fail
Edit: was just told they’re not going to refund or replace. Only 15 months out of it. Had Bought 15 months ago has it’s glitches but overall was happy with it. Then it got stuck in a boot loop. Contacted seller and they are supposedly replacing but now I have to have it removed and the new one installed. Looked online and I guess it’s due to a SD card being corrupt. I was pretty disappointed with pioneer at that point. Had for one year and now I gotta pull it to replace and instead of the radio being $500+ now it’ll be more. But like I said was happy overall and am getting another. On another note I chose this one bc I thought it mirrored wireless for iPhone and Android but it’s not. It’s wireless for iPhones using the CarPlay but not for mirroring. Android can mirror wirelessly. ... show more
