[UPDATE: they’ve pushed an update adding homekit support!] On the amazon listing there's at least 4 different products listed on this one page. You would think that they're all basically the same things just different configurations. They aren't. I wanted a dimmer switch in my living room to control my lights in that specific room, and then have a smart button near my door to quickly turn off all the lights in my home but: A) The dimmer switch works great for what I need it to and is HomeKit compatible. It's homekit compatible and in the hue app you can have the bottom button turn off all the lights in the room B) ~The Smart Button is NOT homekit compatible and you can only _toggle_ lights. Meaning there's no way to configure the button in the hue app to specifically turn off your lights. You'd have to create a scene that specifically turns on all your lights and then hit the button again to turn them off. This wouldn't be a problem if it were home kit compatible like the other products listed on this exact product page but that isn't the case.~ Each product is very different and I don't know why all the reviews and product info is grouped as one so be careful ... show more

I purchased this device to add to all my Philips HUE home lights. This is an must ave addition. It will give all home members an easy to use switch/. We added it to our tining table light and the living room lights. Now if we like to switch on or of the lights we just put the switch on the table and everyone can access the swicth. Installation is easy and adding lights to the 4 switches is easy with the HUE app. I recomand this to all HUE fans. ... show more

I have several of these switches in the house so that we can turn lights on and off on opposite sides of a room. We used to have to go to the bedroom to turn on that light, go back across the family room to the opposite wall to turn off the family room lights and then use the bedroom light to find our way back across the family room to the bedroom. Now, we have switches on both sides of the family room so one sits right outside our bedroom door and the other where the regular switch sits. We also bought acrylic covers for the switches that are no longer needed because they're replaced by these remotes. ... show more

Handy if you live in a larger home and great to have one in the garage for the house. This is way more than you need for an apartment. Just one of these switches controls up to four rooms independently. However rotary dial is for only the main room for which it is programmed or for which it is installed. Amazing flexibility. Each of the four buttons breaks down into four separate components. Allowing independent control of each environment. So you can set light for each room independently. personally think the best use is for before you enter your home so if you have a garage tO mount one in the garage for the rest of the house. When you arrive home from work and if you don't have automation set press 1 button and the entire house can light. Or simply turn the dial and if so programmed entire house will come on to whatever seeing you have set for each room the flexibility is amazing. ... show more

In our house, some people prefer a physical switch still for turning the light on or off. This was our solution, it makes our smart lights dumb again and it’s perfect. We can still control by app or voice, but now we have a switch as well. No wiring needed and works great for those lamps that are difficult to get to anyways. This one has repurposed the bottom button to cycle through scenes, the top button is now on/off instead of only on/screen cycle. Much better experience.

The button does exactly what it says on the tin, which is perfect. However, I made the mistake of placing a ledge near mine, which one of my two cats *WHO I LOVE VERY MUCH* utilized to commit grand theft button. I know it's still in my home and functional, I can see it on the app. As to which of the many hidden dimensions filled with bottle caps, paper balls and used toys it's been hidden within, that mystery has yet to be answered. ... show more

Works well. Sticks to the wall and the remote itself is magnetized, which is a really nice touch. The instructions are a little outdated however, but once I looked them up on hue's website setup was very quick.
