  • Dimmer works well
These dimmers work well with my led br30 light bulbs. In the past i had dimmers that when they are turn off, there's a glow to the light bulbs. It could never turn the light full off.

  • These don't come with any wire twist caps, and single-wire caps are hard to find
Unlike the single-pack box of the same dimmer switch, the 3-pack doesn't include any twist caps. This is fine if you are installing with all 4 wires, because normal twist caps will work. But if you are doing a 3-wire installation and need to cap off the unused 4th wire, you'll have a hard time finding a small enough twist cap to tighten onto a single wire. That's annoying. But everything else about these switches is absolutely perfect! ... show more

  • Great replacement dimmers
Good quality dimmers at a fair price.
Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2023 by I don’t like to brag or complain, but…

  • These are good. Nothing fancy. They just work!
Needed some LED dimmers for new can lights and already had some experience with these and others. These Lutrons using the rocker switch type format with a sliding bar to adjust do the job just fine. Good price-point, solid as a rock, nothing fancy since they have no LED bar graphs or even indication on them but do the job just fine. They work on CFL, halogen, LED and I think incandescent os you cannot go wrong. The first one I shorted out with a direct short and it definitely killed it but I have to take credit for not reading very well before installing. Since I bought 3 at one time the second and third ones went in just fine once I studied the wiring diagram. It was not real clear at first but again that was my fault. Anyone with a little electrical experience really should be able to install these. These have a 2 position selector for the minimum dimmer adjustment that will be based on your light bulb selection but it is not big deal since LED do not build up heat using only 13watts. I would recommend these to my friends as a simple dimmer solution for LED lights. The lights do not flicker whatsoever thru out the dimming range. ... show more

  • Works but doesn't impress...
I have had Lutron dimmers in my home for over 12 years and just decided it was time to switch out my incandescent bulbs for LEDs. After putting dimmable LEDs in fixtures attached to old-school Diva switches, I had mixed results so purchased this 3-pack of CL Diva switches and a single one. First off, with regard to this specific product (the 3-pack), all three were, in fact, the CL Diva switches and they were new unlike some of the other reviews. However, unlike the single one, the 3-pack didn't include the wire nuts described in the instructions. I contacted Amazon chat to confirm that the 3-pack should've been fulfilled with the required hardware and they verified it. Unable to send out separate parts, they offered to credit me with a discount so that I could purchase the wire nuts locally but I declined as I was only in need of the small wire nuts necessary to cap off the 3-way wire since the existing switches had the other necessary wire nuts. The important thing was to know that they should've been included and that there are still some issues with fulfillment of this product. (full disclosure, even after my refusal, the Amazon rep sent me an e-mail stating that a partial credit was issued - well above the cost of 3 small wire nuts) As for the Lutron CL Diva switches themselves, they are of the same build quality as the previous iteration and I am just as pleased with them now as ever. I grew to like the little paddle glow that was part of the old Diva but it was a surprise with those and, in some installations, it flickered so I probably won't miss it much. Two things I've been unimpressed with regarding the CL Diva are the fact that it doesn't resolve the lag time associated with turning on and off the LEDs nor does the trim switch have as fine an adjustment as I would've expected. I'd been using LEDs for a few weeks with my old-school Diva switches and the lag was my main reason I thought the CL switches would be more appropriate. There doesn't seem to be any difference and I've tested it with bulbs both listed in their support documentation as well as generics from a big box store. As for the trim switch, I was expecting a wheel as described in the instructions but it is more a lever and it is very touchy even though it doesn't have the micro-adjustments I imagined from the description. Yes, it allows me to set a lower bottom dim point than the old-school Diva switch could manage with LEDs but it took several tries to find that point without going past it (I actually did with one switch and will have to take the cover off one more time to adjust it again). All in all, I guess I'm glad to have purchased the CL dimmers and will use this experience to set the bar for what my CL Maestro purchase process will be like - those are more critical in my situation because the "off" position still sends enough power to the fixtures for LED's to glow where incandescent bulbs wouldn't. If you are on the fence and already have the old-school Diva switch, it all depends on how dim you need to go as to whether you bother with the CL Diva; in my opinion and experience of course. ... show more

  • Excellent, well-built dimmers - but there appear to be quality issues (one came dead)
These are fantastic dimmers from a reputable brand, however the 3-packs seem to have quality issues, as myself and many other reviewers have experienced one out of the 3 switches received to be completely non-functional. Fortunately, Amazon support is good and they sent out a replacement immediately. But, it's an inconvenience, especially if you happen to be hiring someone to install them who may have to come back. (In my case, I installed them myself, but I'd understand that someone may want to hire it out). All in all, these switches are excellent. I have them controlling multiple sets of LED bulbs (Edison and traditional) in various rooms of the house, and they do so perfectly. You can even adjust the minimum dim setting, so that the bulbs don't just turn off depending on what kind you have and how dim they can go. Once it's set, it's done! The switches are very well built, solid, with a nice quiet click and solid flipping action. I don't expect that these would ever break or fall apart, based on how sturdy they are. ... show more
