I'm another one of these guys who chafed at the idea of having to spend almost half the price of a new shaver just to get replacement shaver heads, but after experimenting with two different brands of knock-off replacement heads that were SUPPOSED to be as good as GENUINE Phillips/Norelco, I have learned the hard way that those knock-off's don't shave as well, and, to make things worse, I had one brand that actually pulled whiskers instead of cutting them, and they pinched the skin near my lips -- even causing slight bleeding. I'm not kidding! So, when your Norelco shaver heads need to be replaced, either get GENUINE, branded Phillips/Norelco replacement heads, or just say to heck with it and buy a new shaver! ... show more

It's amazing how much less time it takes to shave now with sharp blades. The old ones got dull over time and you just get used to it, but new shaver heads really "cut" the shaving time down.

These replacement blades are well worth the extra cost because they hold their sharpness much longer than the cheap replacements that seem like a good deal but aren't! I find that they also give me a much closer shave than the knockoffs. I noticed that the cheaper blades seem like they are worn out before I even install them.
