Used this in conjunction with the walker muffler and clamp. Installed the muffler first then followed by snaking this part from behind over the rear passenger axle. I would recommend a hanger tool and some spray silicone to pop old equipment off with ease. This item came WITHOUT a special U shaped hanger (cut off with a cutting wheel) that held the old resonator at the very rear of the vehicle. However the three hangers (that came with this unit) along with the clamp held things together without any rattle. Seems very secure and stable. Old pipe (from resonator to muffler) had a heat shield welded to it. I assume it's not needed since this unit did NOT come with one. Again used the complete system Muffler 21409 Clamp 35337 and this part Muffler 55272. Everything bolted together (no welding) and secured with existing rubber hangers. Very quiet since old exhaust system was rusted out pretty bad... But time will tell. ... show more

Wiped it down with WD 40 after remote stickers. Went right into place and slid right into the muffler. All needed was 3new hangers and 2-1/2 inch clamp. Looks great.

    • Product last a little under two years then rusted out - beware of the stated warranty!
I'm not at all disappointed in the product - functions and fits as factory part. The muffler didn't rust through, the pipe component did. What I found upsetting was the stated warranty for this part. Initially purchased through Amazon, it is offered with a lifetime warranty. However, when you exceed the Amazon warranty. Of 30 days it reverts to manufacturer warranty. My initial purchase of this item lasted a little over 2 years. When the part failed I got the runaround from Amazon. I contacted the manufacturer direct who told me that Amazon is under contractual obligation to honor their lifetime warranty as the merchant. Amazon tells me that I have to go to the manufacturer for the warranty of the item. Needless to say, I needed to fix my vehicle. I broke down and ordered this part from Amazon because it was the cheapest option. However, be an educated consumer, know that after 30 days you're not going to get a replacement part nor are you going to get your money back on this lifetime warranty advertised product. I would give the product five stars - it's an aftermarket muffler component and does what is advertised. The misleading part and the cause for my reduction in rating is because of the warranty. And it is my belief that Amazon fails to honor their contractual obligation with Walker. ... show more
